I had the day off, and was working map completion in Bloodtide Coast. I was near the Jungle Wurm event when it spawned. The picture below is from the very end of his appearance. From the tons of health remaining on all 3, you can tell that it was during non-peak hours.
Since nobody was around, the Jungle Wurm decided he’d cheat.
Look at the mini-map. I am well outside the Wurm’s red “sphere of influence”. The Wurm himself isn’t even on the Mini-Map, which is full-sized here. (You can just see him way outside the entrance of the Oasis I am in.)
I went AFK to answer the phone, and when I looked at the screen again I had lost about a third of my health. I guess I was the closest target, even though I was way out of the area.
Fortunately, my Toon is a Guardian, and many of the attacks I was taking were being blocked by my Aegis. If I were any other character, I would probably have died.
The Wurm cheats.
(On the other hand, I’m loving the daytime non-peak playing time! The population size is so much better! Not a zerg in sight!)
