I completed tier 1 The Legend, received the box with both The Essence of Ancient Mysticism and the Box of Recipes. Both saying account bound. I consumed the box of recipes with my new revenant character as one does and have noticed that the recipes show up under a new area under crafting “legendary Component”. Logging off and then swapping to my main character which has 500 crafting in artificer I expected to see the unlocked Tier 1 Legendary recipes available to craft each of the 4 tier 1 components.

They are not, considering all of the legendary crafting items state they are account bound its obvious a bug that the recipes are not showing up as known to my main account which I use for crafting.

I am now stuck and unable to craft the tier 1 items cause there is no way I intend to level another characters crafting to 450 to simply make the precursor.

Unfortunately, it is the consumable that is account bound, not the recipes that you learn from it – all recipes are only available on the character that learned them. You may be able to get CS to help you with a replacement, or alternatively, the legendary crafting NPC will sell duplicates of the recipe consumable for karma.

Considering all the restrictions they have placed around the ability to only make a precursor once you would think they would have documented that clearly. Guess my only option is to ask them to move the recipes over to the other character.

Does pose the question though as to if others will fall into this trap with the precursors thinking they are a special case.

CS did help me with this mistake I made.
I have suggested in a response to them that they add some additional information to the precursor recipe boxes like “Recipes are soulbound when consumed”.

At present they only say Consumable followed by Account Bound on the next line.

Hi FractalSteam, my partner did the same thing and is stuck in the same situation. The NPC only sells the box containing both the essence and the recipe, not the recipe itself. This item is unique, and thus cannot be rebought. What did you do to get this sent over? I’ve no experience with dealing with Customer Support in this game.
