Guild Wars 2

Hello folks I’ve been trying to complete this collection for a couple weeks now, waiting after each patch to see if the bugs I’ve reported have been fixed… but nope. So, I’m posting this here to see if anyone else is having these issues.

Warning: May contain some spoilers if you want to do this collection without any hints.

This is for the legendary collection stage for The Minstrel III: The Bard

Bug 1: Collect Burrison’s Ditty – the Norn in the hotsprings in Wayfarer is supposed to sing to you about Norns in a tub, and you talk to him to collect his song. I’ve tried approaching him, fighting him (he’s a HP as well), bringing a new character to him to hear his song, waiting for other players to come by, etc. The Norn still refuses to give me his song.

Bug 2: The Alluring Song of Meat – collect the song from a Charr in a chef hat (can’t remember his name) by defeating him (he’s also a HP). I’ve tried this half a dozen different ways a billion times, and nadda. New character, old character, waiting for other players, trying to hand him some of the meat that appears, etc. The Charr won’t cough up his song.

Bug 3: The Sun’s Performance – you must complete a Flip-Flip-Spin-Flip dive off of Dierdre’s Cantel of the Sun (jumping puzzle). I’ve tried over 30 times, the fall distance is too short to make all 4 moves.

Bug 4: (I found a way around this bug) Read the Evening Song book. This is found in Season 2 basement of the Durmond Priory. The instanced version of Evening Song (the one where you go into your Season 2 episode) does NOT work. You must find the dwarf outside the instance (had no idea about this, had to basically go around for 2 hours trying to find a different copy of the book and clicking on all the things at the Priory before I stumbled onto a closed office with the dwarf inside) and he’ll take you to a different version of the Basement level where reading The Evening Song works. (Note, that version will only have 1 plaque in front of the statue of Abbadon; the wrong version ((your S2 episode)) has two plaques – which is also a bug…).

After coming so far, and investing so much gold, time and effort into this collection (when I could have purchased the bard from the TP)… hitting these bugs is a real let-down.

Any tips, suggestions or hints would be appreciated. I’m beginning to think I’m the only fool on Anet who is doing this collection… but I want my golden ahem rooster harp.

Guess I am the only fool in Tyria who is trying to do this collection… No responses and after checking again today, it’s still bugged.

Did you contact Customer Service yet? If not, I recommend doing that to see if they can offer any tips (and so they can pass along the issues):

Hey, I’m wondering if you solved the problem …. I’m doing the quests and for bugs 1.2. and 4, had no problem at all, I guess it has been patched … But for the dive, I tried a few times and you are right, the distance seems too short to do all the moves :-(

for “bug 3” the dive…use quickness before you pick up the diving goggles and quickly jump, with quickness you’ll have enough time.

Oh, I didn’t imagine quickness could work for dives ! Thanks for the advice, I will try !

Edit : for the record, the dives are sometimes a bit tricky, quickness from mesmer helped me

I am having similar issues with Ogre Wars for Predator III. Ip address 240 is bugged and not enough going on to warrant other ip addresses for that map.
