Guild Wars 2

I’ve been experiencing issues with LW2 that don’t allow me to continue. So I made a new human necromancer to pass the time. Lo and behold every time I reach the stone sheath underwater with Sieran the game crashes. I played a couple times, but it crashes each time I reach the sheath. The sheer amount of story bugs I’ve been encountering is disconcerting. This is now on the personal story not just the paid content.

I sent the crash report to arena net. I’m just hoping for a fix and posting this in case there is anyone else with this issue. Hopefully there will be a patch that fixes this and doesn’t just update the gem store

I run into exactly the same bug with my asura necro. Game crashes to desktop while i try to pick up dwarven scabbard (underwater). I tried both clients 32 and 64 bit with same result.

Im experiencing the bug too. Sylvari Elementalist.

I am also having this issue with my Sylvari Mesmr. This is soo frustrating because I really want to keep playing my story but because of this I can’t continue my story and don’t have uch to do in the game. Please please please fix this issue soon.

I have the exact same issue. Twice now the game crashes on me (it actually crashes my whole party) out of the game as soon as I click on the scabbard. Now I can’t continue with my story on this character.

Just had this bug happen on my Char Engineer. As soon as you press F on the Dwarven Scabbard the client crashes. I am running the 64bit version too.

Same thing happens with my Charr Mesmer. Both on a Windows 64 bit and the Mac Beta client. Crashes immediately after pressing F on the scabbard.

Same thing here on my Norn Guardian. Soon as i go to pick up the scabbard i crash.

even if it is sad not to be able to continue the personal story, I am happy, that I found this thread, cause this mornig I had same issue with my charr warrior…. hope they fix it soon

I had this issue three times last night on the Sylvari Mesmer. The second time, it actually locked up my laptop completely. I was hoping it was just a Mac issue, though reading this thread is not encouraging me for when I get back home…

After taking a few Dwarven artifact, Dwarven scabbard appears. Trying to interact with causes game crash.

Same here. I’ve tried about 4 times and nothing seems to help.

Hello, I’ve been leveling an alt and have reached the lvl 40 Priory quest “The Stone Sheath”. Upon finding the Dwarven Scabbard under water and pressing F to interact with it (and further the quest), the game crashes immediately. I first began this quest on Tuesday, March 22 (after patch), and have tried several times on 32bit and 64bit client and crash each time. I have not noticed any other issues with the game and I typically run with very good ping and fps.

Same thing is happening to me with the exception that I’m new to the game this is my highest level character. Hope they can fix it soon.

Yep, same bug for me. Otherwise game seems to operate just fine, but can’t interact with that stone scabbard.

I’ve tried picking up the stone sheath three times now, every time crashed immediately after. Revenant

Having the same issue, I tried doing it on a different computer at a different location with the same issue.

Update:

Just got a copy pasta reply from a “GM Zentify” stating my computer does not meet the minimum requirements for running Guild Wars 2, this after I updated my ticket notifying them I’m not the only one having the issue AND having a sufficiently equipped PC.

It would seem all 14 of us (that posted on the forums) have PCs that doesn’t meet the “minimum requirements”. heh

In the Sylvari personal story mission “The Stone Sheath,” the game crashes immediately after picking up the Dwarven Scabbard. This is blocking off the rest of the personal story and I can not complete the mission. I’ve notice that the game completes the objective to pick up a few Dwarven Relics, but doesn’t give another objective. After picking up a few more relics, the game gives the objective to pick up the stone scabbard.

Looks like it has been fixed. Give it another shot.
