The thief speargun number 5 skill, Ink Shot, can be used to teleport into mid air. By aiming the skill manually and pointing it out of the water and then moving while the shot reaches it’s end one can teleport into the air. Users can then exploit this bug in 3 locations.
Location 1:
Borderlands Jumping Puzzle. This is probably the location of least concern, but the skill can be used to bypass most of the the half of the puzzle leading to the bottom half of the key. A thief can use Ink Shot from the water to teleport just 5 jumps from the chest, significantly speeding up a puzzle run.
Location 2:
Borderlands Bay Keep. This is one of the locations of chief concern. Though I haven’t found a place where it was possible to use this to get into the inner keep, it is definitely possible to use the skill to get on the outer walls from the water entrance. From there thieves have the power to destroy wall mounted upgrades like oil and cannons as well as existing siege equipment behind the gates. They could also conceivably siege a gate from the inside, avoiding the guards altogether.
Location 3:
Eternal Battlegrounds Lowlands (Green) Keep. This is probably the location of chief concern since the keep encompasses such a large area and it can even be used to get into the Obsidian Sanctum jumping puzzle from the green entrance without owning the keep. A thief can use the shot from any water area and jump onto the outer walls to destroy any trebuchets, mortars, etc. These last two locations offer a significant disadvantage to owning the keeps near the water as compared to the other keeps where opponents cannot get on top of the outer walls so easily.
