I deleted my previous post as I decided that flaming developers might not be the most constructive. I was pretty pissed off after watching 2 very good thieves hold a keep lord’s room long enough for their zerg to return. So this is “take two” with a more constructive approach.

The thief control point capture combined with the persistent culling bug is a game breaking mechanic. The band aid “fix” should be hot patched in. I call it a band aid as I know it’s not a real fix to the issue. But it is a directionally correct change that should be implemented as soon as it passes your testing process. Not withheld until the next content patch.

Culling/rendering issues have been present since beta, and only gotten worse as people exploit it. And yes I see more and more trying to use this exploit to hold supply camps, lords rooms, etc. The last attempt to fix it failed and we ended up with invisible players. Is there any update on the status of a proper fix?

I can’t recall any such issues in the beta or even at launch. If they were there then something anet has done has exacerbated it to a huge degree.

I remember reading in one of the WvW threads that the devs will change it so points cannot be contested while in stealth, invulnerable etc, meaning only when they appear for 1 second will they delay the capping.

No idea when they’ll be adding this though.
