Guild Wars 2

I am playing on the Yak’s Bend server and on the Timberline Falls map there seems to be a glitch. The Point of Interest (The Great Oouo)and the Skill Point at the same location are unobtainable. There is a gate that appears to need to be opened by a quest or mission but there is nothing in the area. Please help as this is the last point on the map that is needed to complete it.

For me it was opened. Strange. Only having a bit of trouble in the ruins(where you go with your storyline). There is a heart quest and you should defend golems but because of a bugged event (defending against 3/4 waves stuck and no more incoming enemies) no golems there and you need to wait for artifacts(since killing mobs not possible to increase the bar) to spawn which takes some time with a lot of playes running around there and long spawn time.

Also on Yak’s, gate is always closed for me as well. People in the area said that there was an escort event that was bugged that prevented the gates from opening, and the NPCs for that event were just hanging out on the path up there, usually dead from quick respawning mobs, but even clearing the mobs and reviving the NPCs doesn’t help, they just stand there.

So nobody knows of a fix? It’s been like 5-6 days with no fix. Did Anet go on vacation?

It’s bugged again? I ran into this issue near a week ago and that very night they had an update that appeared to fix the problem. The escort worked and I cleared it then.

How long have you waited to catch the event? It starts kinda far from the location needed. I can’t remember the exact location though.

I was running into this issue yesterday on Yak’s Bend as well. It seems Timberline Falls has a lot of event bugs though. There were a couple that were not working correctly the whole time I was in there.
Some examples:
-Defend against undead waves at Serpent Waypoint in the south
Problem: Waves were not spawning
-Fend off the undead waves at Rankor Ruins
Problem: Waves were not spawning
-Renown Heart: Partake in the moot
Problem: Using buckets on passed out NPC’s did not wake them

I have waited around for hours just chatting on vent waiting but nothing happens. It’s like there is an event that is causing the waypoint to remain contested and will never end so the mission or whatever won’t trigger. It is apparently bugged and I just really hope it gets fixed soon.

I have 100% in this zone and yes nearly every quest is bugged in some way. To fix your issue with this particular poi and skill point do the following:

The waypoint needs to be uncontested to trigger the event that opens the gate. The way to do this is to lead grawl to the npcs in the river (they should have orange shields above their head, but they are the only 2 npcs randomly standing in the water, so easily spotted). Make sure to lead the grawl closest to the contested waypoint to the npcs so they move in the correct direction. It is a long process but each time they kill a grawl they remain in the position they killed it, eventually once you lead the npcs to the grawl camp the waypoint becomes uncontested.

Now the gate is openable and you will have to fight an npc and his 2 guardians, then the skillpoint is yours.

THANK GOD…..the waypoint is still contested but the gate is open on the Yaks Bend server
