Guild Wars 2

So far I’ve retried this personal quest, but after defeating the guards, the champion, and the scorpion/spider, there is a cut scene of Steelbane and company moving into the arena. After that there should be one of Steelbane coming into the ring to fight, but it doesn’t show up. Instead, you just get stuck in the arena. Can’t move or open the doors and if you speak to Steelbane he really doesn’t say anything. I’ve watched a video on youtube for this quest and I’m supposed to defeat Steelbane to finish it. I am also a Charr ranger in the blood alliance at level 16. Help please?

I have the same problem as well. It is so silly to be stuck on a personal story so low. The dialogue scene never shows up like it should. Can someone please look into this? It would be nice to find a way to pass this personal story. I am assuming since I don’t click on anyone that is why the dialogue scene isn’t showing up. Every personal story dialogue scene before this was when I talked to someone. The cutscene with Steelbane and his men run out into the arena and then I’m allowed to run around and talk to everyone, but it doesn’t show the dialogue scene needed to continue the story.

I’m stuck in the arena, can you please just let me talk to Steelbane to force the dialogue scene to occur? It seems to be skipping the scene and trapping me in the arena, I can’t continue my personal story because of this. Thanks. v.v

I have also attempted to do this quest several times since the game launched, attempting at various levels (solo) and have not been able to progress after killing the scorpion. The only steps taken before getting stuck was to complete the objectives as required, nothing awkward being done at all. I’ve tried waiting a day, 2 days and now a week. Would be nice to know if this is possible to fix at all.

Getting stuck on my friends one too, trying it solo, level 5, ranger, gunners hold server.

Weird, restarting the client fixed it.

Tried this quest a few times again today… no luck. I’m soloing it and just defeated the guards, the champion, and the scorpion. After the group comes into the arena it just comes back to my character, BUT something odd did happen. It showed a movie reel above my characters head for a split second. After that, though, I was still stuck in the arena and had to restart the client to get out of it. Any idea how to get past this?
