I just talked to Tixx about this present he wanted to give to me. He says he gave me one but actually he did not. Although I had plenty of space in my inventory I checked the chest next to him, the one that should give the present in case the inventory is full, except that the chest appears to be open and is unusable.
So, I guess I was not a good charr this year.

I’ve just logged in, saw that Tixx was standing right next to me (In the Heart of the Mists, not Lion’s Arch, mind you) and talked to him.

He said something about a gift, so I thought why the hell not, and got – nothing.

Then I went to Lion’s Arch, saw Tixx again, this time with a chest next to him, which I couldn’t use, cause I already talked to his evil twin in the Heart of the Mists.

Warning to anyone: Do NOT talk to Tixx in the Heart of the Mists, or you will forfeit your present.

The exact same thing happened to me, I searched around for the chest and the only one around was open and nonintractable.

I’m not sure if this is just with the Heart of the Mist Tixx, people are having trouble getting presents from him at all atm.

I have the same problem and I can’t render anything properly on my piece of kitten machine, so I just click things without knowing what they are. I did it in overflow and now I can’t get anything!

I received no present either. Nothing in the mail or bags and no my bags were not full, nor is my mail box full.

Same here. I’ve tryed some thing but nothing helped.

I got the same problem, after I talked with him, nothing happened and chest nearby has already opened.

You’ve all been very naughty this year, tssk, tssk. Better not complain about GW2 in 2013!!

Same here, talked to the tixx but did not received anything from him and chest is unusable.

Being patient is so hard. This is Wintersday after all!
Also: I was on an overflow shard, too, and heard the same bug reported from others who also were on an overflow. So, there might be a connection.

I just went to Tixx in Lions Arch, first character I’ve tried this one, and talked to him about a reward. He said he gave me something, but nothing is in my bags (lots of empty slots). I tried to check the chest, but it’s already open and won’t allow me to interact with it.
Help – really want the 15 slot bag reward, or whatever I get!

Nope. Neither did I get any present from the Mists nor did I get any other present on any of my characters. I received precisely a total of zero presents from any source.

I didn’t receive my gift, either…could being “In Queue” for Lion’s Arch be a factor?

This happened to me while in Lion’s Arch Overflow. Spoke with Tixx, didn’t receive a present, tried the chest but it was already open and didn’t let me interact with it. It was my first time speaking with Tixx with any character.

I had not collected any presents from Tixx on any character. It was my first time asking for the present. I was in LA overflow.

I don’t know anything about the mists? The PVP zone right? I don’t got there.

I didn’t receive a present from Tixx, too. Just the normal ones (giant wintersday gift) were in my inventary. Hope that will help you! :)

Did any of you already collect a present? You can’t get multiple presents by going to overflows, it’s limited to 1/day. I’m getting conflicting info on whether the Mists present is in addition to this, or counts as your 1/day present.

I went to him once and only once and it was in overflow. I don’t go to pvp or wvw unless to quickly go to Lions arch without paying for travel.

Same here. I didn’t get any present. I went to Tixx, got instructions, went to the chest beside him, it was open and I did not get anything. And no, I didn’t get one with another character – it was my first attempt to get it.

After it I tried with my alts, same again: got nothing.

No chest for me. Sigh…

All my friends get heaps cool stuff from it but I get left out I was in an overflow like a lot of other people and the chest just opened and I didn’t get a gift. So sad :’(

I also did not receive a present. I have not received any today. I talked to Tixx and was given nothing. Can not open the chest either. My inventory was not full when I talked to him. I did not speak to Tixx anywhere other than in Lion’s Arch.

I talked to Tixx first in Lions Arch and got nothing. Then I when to Heat of the Mists, and still got nothing. Both times the chest was also un-interactable.

Just tried the Mists version and went through the same process as with the LA one: dialogue but no present, chest open and unusable. So, regardless if you can get 1 present per day each or 1 present per day total I remain at zero presents.

I talked to him in the Heart of the Mists… sigh… no present. Go to Lion’s Arch folks!

Yeap but there are some people getting the present. I wish that I was one of those who got it. This feels a little like the karka chest fiasco all over again :p

I talked to him once while being in overflow and got nothing, game reboot didn’t help either.

I guess I was a bad Norn this year as I got nothing either Went on the first toon I logged onto today to get my present and I was in the LA overflow when I talked to Tixx.

However, a friend of mine got his just fine and was also in the overflow at LA. Seems to be rather hit and miss whether or not you get the gift.

So what part of the present is supposed to be 1/day? I assume only the cogs? Or is it possible to be able to get the back item again for those of us that have several alts? (I’m also assuming not the bag item, since that could kinda break the value of the existing 15 slot bags on TP)

Only that this time the “present debt” stacks for each day that this issue remains unresolved if I understand Jeffrey correctly and there is one present per day. Now I do not know if I should hope for a quick solution or not. Either I get my present quickly or I get a huge heap of presents later. :P

i talked to tixx and he said that he gave me a present. but i checked my inventory (my inventory was 10% full so there should be spaces for more than 20 gifts), there’s no present. i was wondering if it was going to be mailed. but didn’t receive it either?

Well, getting the present from the chest next to him seems to be the rule rather then the exception (although he says that the items are in the chest when your inventory was full, not every time). Did you check that chest or was it open and unusable, too?

talked to tixx and he said that i am given a present. and i switched characters without clicking the chest because im wondering why i didnt receive a gift.

so do i have to talk to him and click the chest? seems non-intuitive if you do 2 things.

Yup, it does not seem to be working as originally intended in any case. None of my guildmates got their present from Tixx directly, all from the chest. Would be interesting to hear if you can still interact with the chest or if you can get a present from the Mists version of Tixx. If not, then you probably have the same bug as the rest of us.

So what is supposed to be the 1/day reward that Jeffrey’s comment was referring to?

At least it seems to be that way. Also, so far everybody who encountered this bug in LA seems to have the same bug in the Mists. I have sent some guildies into the Mists to check how it should be and they reported that you go through the same dialogue, can open the chest but do not get any more items.
So, the LA and Mists versions seem to be connected: if one works the other does, too (even if you still get only one present), and when one bugs out for you the other does not work either. Anyone noticed anything different?

I also did not get my gift from Tixx. I did however get the achievement.

One thing to note is that I completed the dungeons on two different characters. One did 3 of them and the other did 2. I know this should not matter though.
