I just talked to Tixx and I didn’t receive a gift. I was in overflow. I moved out of overflow to see if I could get it and still no luck. I see an open chest but no new items.

Did any of you already collect a present? You can’t get multiple presents by going to overflows, it’s limited to 1/day. I’m getting conflicting info on whether the Mists present is in addition to this, or counts as your 1/day present.

I was in the Mists when I logged in, saw Tixx there, and spoke with him to get my present. I didn’t realize there was a different present for the Mists vs. Lion’s arch until I found out my friend received the 15-slot bag etc. while I received pvp finishers and such.

I’m really disappointed because I rarely do pvp, and really wanted the Lion’s Arch set of items. If they are mutually exclusive, there should really be some sort of message saying that before you accept them.

Is there any word yet on whether they’re mutually exclusive, and if they are, would it be possible for me to switch them? I have no use for pvp items.

I also failed to get my item on the LA overflow. I’m curious what it was.

I have this problem as well. I logged onto GW in Lion’s Arch (Overflow). Spoke to Tixx, did not receive anything. Ran over to the chest, it was already open and I could not loot it.

I am having the same problem. I also failed to get my items in the LA overflow.

Yeah I’ve had the same problem. Received the 200 cogs but nothing else. Rather have the bag.
Was in overflow if that actually means anything.

I had the same problem. first time I spoke to Tixx since he returned to Lions Arch was in LA overflow. He said he would give everyone who spoke to him a gift, and gave me the option to ask for one. I chose the option to ask for the gift but he gave me nothing. My bags were not full, and I had not spoken to him with any other character, in overflow or not. I have not received any gift from him on any of my characters. Now if I speak to him with any of my characters he says he cant give the gift twice, and to check the box beside him if my bags were full. The box looks open and I cannot interact with it.

I also just had the same issue. I was in the Lion’s Arch Overflow on the Dragonbrand server. I cannot interact with the chest, but it is open and glowing, and Tixx says he already gave me my gift. I tried with both my engineer and my guardian with no luck. I have also exited out of the game and re-entered, and that did nothing as well. I had plenty of room in my engineer’s inventory, and my mailbox wasn’t full, either.

Same Issue, talked to Tixx, did not receive gifts in inventory in overflow, I have 30 open slots of inventory space. However I’m glad you guys are working on a fix

I don’t know if this is useful but here is exactly what I did (its hard to fix a bug if you cant reproduce it right?)

Logged on for the first time today after 6:30pm PST
Selected the last character I logged out with, that logged out inside LA. (inside bank)
Loaded up in an overflow server.
Opened bank, moved stuff around to organize…
Guild mate told me that Tixx was handing out gifts via Skype.
Ran over from the mystic forge to Tixx and spoke with him.
Chat box opened up.
Selected the accept gift icon. (I clicked it fast because I was overly excited for gifts!)
[Maybe I clicked it before the chat box was finished loading?]
Chat box closed, opened inventory (which was not compacted and had random open slots from past used consumables)
Gifts were not found inside inventory.

Don’t know if that helps, sorry for the long post.

My friend got the present but zones from the Overflow to the regular zone before taking the items from the chest. When he got into the regular zone he could not get anything out of the chest.

I also have the same problem. I talked the Tixx and checked the box and I couldn’t interact with it at all. I didn’t think much of it until my guild member was talking about the nifty rewards. I went back to LA to check to see if I could access the box, and I still couldn’t. Both times were in the overflow.

Had this issue after talking to Tixx while I was in the Mists. No present and chest is unusable.

So wait, if you use the pvp Tixx you don’t get a 15 slot bag and you’re SOL?

Yeah I did the same thing because I didn’t know it made a difference…I wish they would tell us because I don’t pvp either so the stuff I got is really useless for me. =\ Getting the chest from the mist stops you from receiving one from LA…I wish there is a way to trade it in for the chest from LA.

Same for me, nothing received and chest open. Did not interact with Mist’s Tixx, and first attempt at it of the day. Very sad

Exact same thing happened to me as Nyxsera. No interaction with other Tixx, no present and I have tried both the LA overflow and LA regular. Hope it gets fixed soon. Thanks for all your hard work Devs!

Same exact thing for me, nothing after talking, and the chest was un-clickable.

I’m having the same problem. Went to Mists so I could warp to LA and saw him there so I talked to him to get it and didn’t get anything. Says he gave me something in both Mists and LA though.

Edit: I checked back in later today and even though it was open I was able to get the gift from the chest in the Mists but not in LA. At the time I didn’t know there was a PvE and a PvP gift so I talked to the first Tixx I saw. If getting one means losing the other I would never had talked to him in the Mists as I play a lot more PvE than PvP. Hopefully the rest of you will be able to get your missing gift soon and I hope it’s the one that you really wanted.

I’m having the exact same problem as most of the people posting here. When I talked to the Tixx character in the mists (I didn’t know you received different items in pvp areas) I didn’t receive anything (even though I had plenty of inventory space) and I wasn’t able to interact with the chest (which I hadn’t used at all prior). I went to Lion’s Arch and had the exact same problem, trying first in overflow and then in regular Lion’s Arch. In all cases Tixx said he’d already given me the present and I wasn’t able to interact with the chest. It looked like it was already opened even though I’d never used it before.

ported to heart of the mists to goto lions arch, and noticed tixx and talked to him and i got nothing; however, my apprentice toymaker title was at 11/12 and after talking to him it became 12/12 and yet i didnt get another achievement done anywhere, so i asked my guildmates and they linked toymaker’s bag and i was confused

I second this problem. Talked to Tixx, got nothing. Saw the chest, couldn’t open it. Talked to Tixx again and he says I already have it and should check the chest in which I can’t open.

Talked to Tixx in Heart of the Mists and got nothing.

I opened the PVP chest but I didn’t know that negated the PVE chest. Can I get a swap? Also noticed that the back piece disappeared when I went to PVE. Please fix. I need those cogs.

I’m getting a similar problem.

My friend told about Tixx and his presents while we were in the Infiniraium, so when we finished I went to talk to him with empty bag slots. I clicked for the gift and received nothing, then noticed the chest that was already open and unlootable.

I read this post and found out there’s a Tixx in PvP, which I have now talked to and he gives me the option to receive a gift. I didn’t click on it because I’d rather the PvE rewards.

Same problem. Went to Tixx in LA, talked to him to receive gift, except my inventory was full. I went to make room and when I came back, I talked to Tixx again. He said I already had my gift or to check the chest next to him. The chest appeared to be opened already. I checked my inventory and mailbox and found I had received nothing. I logged out, logged back in and the same remained true However, my husband was able to run over and get his item without a problem…and now he’s showing off.

I had the same problem. I clicked the reward option in the chat with Tixx, not checking my Inventory I went into the dungeon with my party. After realizing I didn’t get anything, we finished and exited. I saw the chest and it was already opened. I could not get a thing.

I unknowingly talked to Tixx in the Mists, and got the PvP gift edition, which I really don’t prefer to the 15 slot bag, or any other PvE gift which I really need, so now I’m screwed, right?

Chest opened itself so I couldn’t loot it, and I didn’t get anything in my bags, though he’s said that whole 1 present per person stuff :/

I only realised today that there was a chest next to him that I had to open. When I go to the chest now it is already open. When I talk to Tixx he tells me that he can only give one present. So I didn’t get any reward from Tixx.

Just wanted to add that I received all items except for the 15 slot Gift Box item. Unfortunately, I talked to Tixx in the Heart of the Mists.

!st i talked in LA no chest then i heart of mists = no chest. What is expected time of fixing it? Cause my guild trolling me that i dont have chest :P

same story. in overflow, spoke to Tixx, got nothing. No chest no gifts, nada! He wont talk to me now, stating I’ve had my gifts, which I haven’t. How are we going to be compensated for another bugged event? Not trying to be funny here, but this is becoming a regular occurrence, is it not?

No, that’s a different thread. this one is about Tixx bugging, saying you’ve had your gift and go check the chest. The people here are unhappy because they didn’t get anything – often something to do with being in the OF server when speaking to him.

Add my name to the list of investigation. I was in Lion’s Arch when Tixx showed up on 12/20. My party did the regular dungeon (the one for like the frames). When we came out of it, I grabbed the chest and talked to Tixx. I was in a rush to log off, but realized that I received nothing from the chest. I’m sure we were in the overflow of LA, having just completed the dungeon. I had no clue Tixx was even in the Mists. So that bug doesn’t apply to my case, but still didn’t recieve from Tixx in LA.

Same problem here. Spoke to Tixx, asked him for a present, got nothing (no notification of an item entering my inventory either), tried the chest but found it already opened. Meanwhile, my sister sitting next to me gets a 15-slot bag,.

Hoping those of us who didn’t receive a gift still get one—hopefully by mail because I’m traveling soon on holiday and don’t have much online time left.

I had — or thought I had — this issue as well. I was cruising through the structured PvP area and decided to talk to Tixx. He asks if you want your present, and of course you say “yes! gimmie!”. I then received nothing, but I figured it was mailed or I missed the inventory addition and moved on to the Lion’s Arch overflow.

Then I realize I didn’t get anything and I became concerned. Did I get something and not see it? Is it a real bug in the sPvP Tixx? My attempts to verify were spotty, my guild was quiet and the map chat was busy looking for groups. I tried talking to Tixx in Lion’s Arch and tried the chest there as well with no positive results.

So I submitted a bug report and a screenshot of my character’s inventory through the in game support panel. (You don’t get a ticket # from that form of submission so I can’t say anything meaningful there.) I then proceed back to my normal mode of play. On the way back I go through the sPvP zone again and I decide to check with Tixx and the nearby chest again. This time, I do get something from the chest. It was all PvP related, but I did eventually receive something. My loot was a decorative PvP only backpack, and 6 tonics that would change what my finisher would look like for 30 minutes. So, it looks like in my case that I needed to recheck the chest in sPvP land.

I’d say to disregard my bug report, but I can’t. (no ticket # issued through the client)

I’m not sure if this was quietly fixed or more likely in this case I was an idiot and missed searching the chest.

Same happened to me. Talked to Tixx in overflow and can’t interact with the chest.

didnt get anything either, now support send me 2 lion chests with crap inside….better than nothing but really? why lion chests where nothing usefull is inside (only with super luck though)

Just in case my bug report was submitted in the wrong area, I too recieved nothing from Tixx.
I see all the people with their awesome present bag backpack and I cry to myself, wondering why.
