Guild Wars 2

I talked to Tixx ona character, and then logged out (he said something about a ticket or something). I later learn that he is supposed to give you a “present” of some sort, but i got none. I learn that it’s supposed to be in the floating purple-glowing chest next to him, so I go there and see for myself. The thing is, I cannot interact with the chest in any way, nor can I talk to Tixx, he only says: “Apologies my festive friend. Only one gift disbursement per citizen. No exceptions! If you didn’t have room to recieve your gift, perhaps try checking that chest.”

Only option in this conversation is: “All right. Good-bye.”

What’s happened? Did I screw up since I logged out before checking the chest?!

I experienced the “almost missed the box” syndrome as well. I spoke with Tixx and he told me I got a present (paraphrasing here) but nothing showed up in my inventory. So I spoke w/him again and he told me only one gift per citizen and no gift drop at that point either. I would have walked away and posted a game bug on it had one of my guild mates not pointed out that there was a chest sitting on the ground below his pedestal. Took a few seconds for me to find it.

Seems like an assumption was made that we would automatically look for the chest as we do in most boss fights, but those show up on your mini map and are expected.

Would have been nice had Tixx actually said something about don’t forget to pick up your gift from the chest or something to that effect.

It just seems inconsistent to see rewards show up:
1. automatically in our inventory
2. a noticeable box icon show up to bring our attention to a chest
3. something glowing/pulsating on the ground indicating we have a reward waiting
4. an in-game mail show up for us on screen

I heard others say they never got anything when they did try to click on the chest after speaking with Tixx.

Definitely bugged issue that needs to be addressed.
