Guild Wars 2

The Tomes of Knowledge do absolutely nothing to PvP or WvW level.
I noticed this bug before but now i have also the video to show..
I used at least 10 till now and every time same result.

The Tome of Knowledge only raises your character’s Experience level. Nothing to do with PvP levels or WXP levels.

Thus, not a bug. Sorry.

i used it in WvW and got kitten. u can look at the video and see that NOTHING CHANGES!!!!
NOTHING!!! not character experience amount, not world experience amount, not the character lvl as the description says, not the world lvl, as the description says.
now tell me, what is it supposed to do again?

Seems to work as intended. As was said and as it is stated in the description it only affects your character level. Since you are already level 80 you only get a skill point from using the tome.

I can explain in great detail! a Tomb of Knowledge states “CHARACTER LEVEL” which is what level your character is. Which is 1-80. in WvW you have WvW Rank and in PvP you have your PvP Rank which are not levels at all. The reason in WvW your not seeing any difference in anything at all when you use the tomb is because your character is LvL 80 therefore max level. Which in the end means you are only gaining a skill point per book.

Long story short, its working as intended as WvW rank and PvP rank are not character levels and the book only effect character levels.
