We’ve discovered an issue where you may stop earning PvP tournament reward chests after transferring from a EU server to a US server, or from a US server to an EU server. We don’t have an immediate fix for this, but we’re continuing to investigate the issue. If you’ve stopped earning reward chests after a server transfer and transfer back to your original server region, you should begin earning tournament rewards again. If you continue to play in your new server region, you should begin earning tournament rewards again once you’ve earned more tournament reward chests than the amount you earned in your original server region. We will update again once we have more details.

More or less, though your previous EU wins still count. So if you had 10 EU wins, then started earning chests on wins 11-15 on US, then switched back to EU, you’d need to win 6 tournaments to start getting chests again.
I’ve had this problem for quite a while now and I finally decided to check the forums for it. To be honest, I am surprised to see that it’s a known issue because I thought I was the only one not getting the tournament rewards after asking around if people have this issue.
I played on an EU server for more than a month and this week I transferred to an American server for a few days and got back to EU servers but another one, different from my first one. I’ve gotten more than a hundred tournament reward chests on my first one and now I have to win even more tournaments just to start receiving rewards again?
This definitely makes me give up sPvP until it’s fixed.
So say I have ~400 wins on Gandara. I transferred to a US server. So now I have to win another 400 wins before earning rewards again?
Any idea on when this issue will be fixed? Its still in effect as of todays patch >.<

Ok first off i want to say how disspointed in Anet i am, i have had this issue for over 2 weeks missed SO MUCH exp and rewards me and my team win 90% of the tournies we go in and for 2 and abit weeks i have not recived my chests ive sent off countless tickets in game easily over 100 there is no way in hell you have missed them yet im just being ignored im currently rank 36 but would easily be 39-40 at first i did not care about this as it past the 1st week mark i grew concerned and now its just ridiculas im clearly being ignored by Anet and its not acceptible and NOW finally paid tourniments have come out we won our 1st tourniment and i dont evan get PAID chests this is so kitten its over whelming and your only fix is to go back to NA and do as many tournies wins, which for me is not an option i was in NA for over a month before i came to EU servers and the only way i could enter tournies in NA now is in a pug cus im not going to find another team as i already have a EU team this needs to be fixed right now ive already missed out on hundreds of tourniment tickets my team has over 300 each ect and i have 70… ALSO the biggest issue is im not reciveing qualifier points after paid tourniments, you brought out these paid tourniments but didnt evan fix the issues people have with chests youve known about this issue ffor atleast 2 weeks and yet people like me are being ignored.

i dont think they are ignoring this issue, maybe they couldnt yet find the source of the problem, but i have to say i was a bit surprised to see paid tournaments without first seeing this bug solved.
This is ridiculous. Its been two and a half weeks since I transferred to NA and this bug is still affecting me. Not only am I down about 30 tournament tickets, but also I should be getting about 5 to 6 QP, but thanks to the brilliant servers, those cannot be granted to me either. When will this bug be fixed? I have had friends who have had this bug fixed for them and it is absolutely ludicrous that this is still an issue. I am tired of not getting responses
I totally understand that this issue only affects a very small number of players, as such it can’t be expected to be number 1 priority. But as the game gets more competitive now paid tournaments are implemented, this really does put players such as me at a disadvantage as I need to win another 90+ tournaments before I can start getting tournament tickets and QP’s again. Would be nice to have an update on the progress of fixing this issue.
Simple fix for this… if you live in Europe play on the EU servers, and if you live in the US play on US servers.

Me and several friends were cursing this bug last night so I decided to check the forums to see what ANet is doing about it. I’m not one to complain about things normally, but for those of us who played substantially on EU servers before switching this bug has been very detrimental to our spvp experience (we simply have received NO tpvp rewards for weeks).
Furthermore we are not receiving paid tournament ticket refunds, so for those who decide to ignore this bug and enter paid DO NOT cancel the queue as you will lose the tickets (again we lost about 10-15 from this).
Finally just to clarify this supposed tourney chest ‘fix’ is it more tourney reward chests in general or does the quality (gold, silver bronze etc) make a difference to superseding the original total amassed on the EU servers?

As of today ive lost nearly 100 tickets to this bug and have not seen any of them restored. Will I ever see compensation for this loss?
As a gw1 player i’m used to play with ppl all around the world.
When i pre-purchased the game, it was mentioned a guest feature (aka “pvp is not server dependant”) that was supposed to be here since start.
I was told to switch servers while waiting for the guest feature to be released to be able to play with whoever you want, which i did.
Then you changed server transfer to 1 per week. It’s really annoying, but I can live with it.
I won’t complain about the already lost tickets/chests/qp, I don’t care I can live with it if you don’t give them back as long as you fix this bug.
This bug has been knowned and reported since day 1 and lot of people are pretty much waiting for a fix for 3 months now.
This problem and the lack of guest feature totally destroys pvp experience for people who switch servers a lot, making spvp/tpvp just unplayable.
Is it too much of a programming challenge for you? or are you just going to perpetually put this bug at the bottom of your priority list?
PS: this server-restricted pvp mode is no good and doesn’t make sense, it divides the players community. Gw1 had the chance to have international districts and everyone could play with and against anyone. If pvp in gw1 was server dependant, the game would have died much more faster.
Just happened to me, did 4 paid tourneys and gave time for it to end. No chests received here either.
Hello, my name is Neuro. I am the Team Captain of Team Curse (Guild Wars 2) under Curse Inc. I recently decided to transfer my team to Europe from North America for the more frequent Paid Tournament queues. However, when we’ve finished tournaments, two of our members (myself including) are not receiving chests. I’m not particularly interested about the gear earned from chests, but the gems & tickets are our way to sustain constant tournament queues. I will continue to purchase gems as needed because my team needs to practice, but I would really appreciate a fix to this issue.

Hey there, Zoose here, avid PvPer and Elementalist for Team Curse. I moved to the EU server Desolation to be able to play tournaments. Unfortunately, I am running into the same problem as my Team Captain, Neuro. We are not receiving tickets, chests, or gems for our wins in free or paid tournaments. If you could fix this ASAP Team Curse would be greatly appreciated!

My teammates are forced to pay real money in order to play paid tournaments because even if we win, we are not getting anything in return.
This needs to be fixed asap.

One thing I noticed about the bug is you don’t get your tournament ticket refunds (when you disband a queue) as well.
So whatever’s wrong with the tournament reward system is probably also wrong with the mail system.
Can we get an update on this? “about a month” since the last dev post. So is this being worked on? Do you not care?

Forcing your clients to pay to play due to an bug is unacceptable. This should be a top priority! We are a loyal player base, but this is a slap in the face that this not been addressed and you continue to force us to empty our wallets to play your FEE FREE game.

I recently transfered from EU to US and still not getting any tourny reward chests. Ive come 1st ,2nd several times with nothing. With the new change in transfer i have to wait 7 days be4 transfering and 7 more days to get back. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM,

2 months not a single response or update to this issue. Devs say they read the forums and sure there are a lot of posts, but this thread was started by an Anet mod so its on the freaking top of this forum! Please address this!

I have to agree that the communication abut this issue is quite lacking.. when i send in a ticket about perhaps yust allowing people to send in messages and then manually reset the stats or something like that… i yust got back to look at this thread, which holds no information whatsoever

Can you at least give us some info about the fix progress. This is a serious issue and should be a priority. Players are just suck in their regions where they played way too many tourneys, and they can’t change.

Lets face it gentlemen, PvE issues are more important and the bug department obviously either isn’t competent enough to fix this bug (in which case, lol), or the big boys in ANet are too busy caring about not PvP. The Devs aren’t responding because they dont have an excuse besides saying:
“look guys, PvE bugs are more important. Haven’t you noticed they get fixed in days while yours take weeks at a time? Just wait until PvE is flawless and then we will get your bugs fixed”

It’s been 2 months. I mean everytime there’s an update the tournaments are broken for days. Sometimes a week or two(load screen bug). Now this, listen here. Paid tournaments cost gems and reward gems. This bug has been around for how long. You monetize this aspect of the game, then leave something like this(gamebreaking for me) out there. Why even allow transfers, and it’s been 2 months seriously?
How can I put this in a civil way. What kind of low life game are you trying to run here? No form of re imbursement either, and basically a big “Too bad go suck it” response, to the problem. “It’ll get fixed when it gets fixed. You don’t like it too bad, go play something else until we fix it. Oh, and by the way we’re not gonna fix it in any form of urgent manner you can go suck it.”

This is a terrible reflection of your company. Tournament tickets are a monetized item in the game. Yet the process which you use them for is bugged in such a way where it ‘eats’ your tickets. Yet there is no form to get a refund of these items lost?
DON’T YOU REALIZE HOW UNETHICAL IT IS TO CHARGE FOR TICKETS THEN NOT ADDRESS AN ISSUE THAT EATS THE TICKETS WITH OUT YOU PROPERLY BEING ABLE TO UTILIZE THEM.
