So, i came to the part where i had to destroy towers, the first tower went down fine, but then i came to the second tower, i’ve killed everything around it and Tonn is just standing under it, he doesn’t blow it up, in other words i can’t proceed to the next part of the personal story.

In my game I could destroy all three towers, Spoiler...Then cleared the beach but then my quest log does not update anymore.

finished all objectives and never gives a “COMPLETE”….

I’m also having the same issue as Bobfigo.6479

Edit : The pack animal also does not seem to travel past the sylvari tent.

I just finished all three towers as well and cannot progress he stands there like a lump on a log and the quest will not complete. Very frustruating considering the time it took. -.-

Same problem, I even went around and made sure everything was dead, this is my 2nd time trying to do this quest, slightly annoying :\

Ive restarted the mission 4 times now and the quest log still wont update.

I’m having the same problem, this is very frustrating and discourages me from even continuing the story line.

Yeah, I’ve encountered exactly the same issue. Since two days I can’t do any progress with my storyline due to this bug. I tried to do this quest 4 times by now, and it always gets bugged at the same point – I destroy all the towers, then I clear the beach from the undeads, and when the green star changes to “completed” icon, nothing happens. There is no new storyline update, no cutscene.

I just encountered this issue as well. I have finished to “Clear the beach of Undead”. And then no other progress has been made. See screenshot below.

Sylvari Ranger with barbarian choices made. I was doing the quest solo when the same exact issue happened. There seems to be a undead stuck inside a rock

Having same error as everyone else. The cutscene is not triggering after clearing the beach.

Male Sylvari Guardian – chose vigil path, solo. I’m not sure what else is wanted here, but I’ll check back here again to reply if any more specific data is wanted.

Male human guardian. Solo and with another player. Vigil and dignified. same problem as everyone else posting. Managed to find a mob “buried” in a rubble. somehow killed him after like 15 minutes of trying to kill him with burn because he was ‘invulnerable’ to attacks.

Male, Human, Guardian, Vigil and Hylek, played solo, got to the same point as most; after ‘cleaing the beach’ nothing happened again and have looked around the whole area to no avail.

Female, Human, Guardian, 80lvl, Durmand Priory story.
Nothing happens after after i cleared the beach from all undeads.

I was able to get the cutscene when trying it again. The only two things I did differently was talk to the wyld hunt sylvari (The leader of them has a short dialogue you can do) and I made sure the risen who were pretty much inside the tower were dead before it blew up. Who knows if this is what changed it, but I thought I would mention it.

No log update after cleared beach.

Guys, after about 8 or 9 tries at this I have found the issue.

On the first tower please ensure you kill all the Risen before the tower is blown. There are 2-3 that are very hard to see (inside the tower structure), if these two aren’t killed when the tower is levelled then one or both will bug inside the rocky mound that’s left.

The way I needed to do it in the end was to run way ahead of the Tonn and the Marmox and really make sure it’s clear before they get there.

It’s a silly bug, but every time this bug happened progress was halted after clearing the beach, once clear it work’s.

Just did it and got the same bug. Male, Human, Thief, lvl 62, solo, Whispers. Hope it’ll be fixed soon.

The issue is mobs get stuck underneath the rubble when a tower blows. Run ahead and clear them out before he plants the bomb to finish it.

Male Human Warrior – Order of Whispers
Doing the quest solo. Tried twice and the event broke both times at the second tower. NPCs just stand inside one another at a point (different both times) and don’t move. Noticed that when approaching a tower, they would stop and refuse to advance until I cleared the area. Vigil Crusaders would assist killing anything I brought back to their aggro range, but no further.

Male Asuran Thief in the Order of Whispers. Always went with any quest relating to asuran or order of whispers as a top priority in my paths but also did a few priory when i didn’t get to make one of those choices. Always have done every story quest solo.

Mine locked up on the third tower after clearing the beach.

Female Norn Warrior with Vigil path and almost full charisma.

Can’t blow up the last tower at all. Tried clearing everything. Nothing works. This has been a storymode, game-breaking bug for days and hasn’t been fixed yet at all. It’s pathetic.

I tried Stardriver.7459’s way and it worked well. If your still having problems with the quest log, try stardrivers way.

very annoying to get to end and have it bug.

same problem as EVERYBODY else and this has been going on for days now it appears. When can we expect a fix for this so we can continue on with our storyline? Norn Guardian.

Same issue here. Human Guardian, Solo.

NPC arrives at third tower, places explosive in the middle of combat. Proceeds to stand to the side of the path on the hill and do nothing. No green guide point after clearing the beach.

After running this quest a “few” times. I found this little guy (attached).

One guy stuck in the first tower that took some playing around before I found an angle to kill it from.

Quest completed itself normally after that.

As a variable, I did not revive any of the friendly soldiers at the third tower.

Human Warrior, solo.

Previous quest: Forging the Pact

The quest required me to clean off the undead from the beach. I did so, and after the last undead dropped, the quest sort of “clears”, with the objectives cancelled out. The pack stays at the tent area and the npc that you are supposed to talk to just stands there. The rest of the NPCs still follow me around though.

Same problem for me. I solod it, blew up the third tower, cleared the beach and then it doesn’t update the questlog.

Asura, priory, solo’ed the quest, all the npc followed me through the cave to the end.

I’ve tried this a few times with it bugging out in various places and I can confirm the issue is with mobs getting stuck under the rock when the tower falls.

I was looking at mobs under turrets, but the quest says you completed it. So that means the undead are dead. It just doesnt get the signal to complete the quest :<

i did this too and work

My problem is the pack animal and the demo just standing there at the the second tower, doing nothing

Ran around the whole map when i noticed the story was bugged. The screenshot is of a bugged mob that was hidden behind the second tower.
I noticed Tonn saying 1 more bomb and then blabla something .. but right away the building exploded and npc’s got stuck in the rock it left behind.
The pack cow wass stuck at the camp before the third tower.
