Trading Post - Loss of GOLD
i was selling 300 iron ingots on tp. when i cancelled the sale to lower my price i didn’t get my ingots back.
I saw TP under maintenace a few days ago, thought it was all good. but just lost another 24gold today.
On a constructive feedback note:
I have noticed that the bug doesnt happen when im offline, ie i wake up count my gold and its all accounted for. But when I’m PvE or PvP, the bug happens.
So far i’ve only had gold funds from sells vanish, my buy orders have all come through with no issues, likewise with my cancel and re listing.

As far as I have been able to determine, there are no documented cases of money or goods being permanently lost from the TP — items and coin always go into the queue and the worst that happens is that people have trouble researching what happened because the queue is low to update on some specific (and rare) occasions.
That doesn’t mean that it’s impossible that y’all have experienced a new bug. It does mean that it’s worth double-checking what happened and working with Customer Service if you still have trouble finding gold or coin.
- With items sold or bought, double-check your transaction history.
- With specialty items, use a website like gw2efficiency.com to see if they ended up on another character (faster than searching one character at a time in-game).
- Coins and mats are harder to track down, because they get easily absorbed into your account via the wallet or “deposit all” and sometimes, people don’t realize when money or items were returned. In that case, you have to work with Customer Service.

Include relevant details like time & date, amounts, and if you can, which character you were on when you made the initial transaction.
