cannot seem to change from Items I am selling. Drop down menu appears but when I try and select any other category such as Items I am buying the drop down menu disappears and nothing happens

When switching to “Items I’ve Sold” or “Items I’ve Bought” it sometimes takes 5-15 seconds for the results to display as there are usually a lot of results to load up. Just be patient.

might just be lag as you said, but I sat there and waited for 1 minute timed by my watch as an experiment before I posted this. A couple of seconds of lag I can live with but anything more than 5 or 10 seconds is a problem in my opinion.

Also if memory serves the drop down menu should change to the new choice and the items box should clear even if lag is the cause for the redisplay of the items for the new choice. Can’s say for sure but as near as I can remember that is the way it works

Oh, I completely agree. The way results are loaded is horrible. I’ve found that doing the action twice sometimes forces it to show me the results.
So click on “Items I’ve Sold”, wait a few seconds, click on “Items I’m Selling” and then back to “Items I’ve Sold” again. Doing the action twice sometimes causes it to load the results as they should be.

It’s silly, is it not? I don’t know why it is designed to try to load up all of the thousands of items sold instead of just loading the first page of results. A simple database query with the specific, limiting criteria is all it takes.

Since this seems to be of interest to you Stin could you verify and post that the drop down menu at least changes when you select, even if the items do no load immediately. This is almost as if my menu will not even allow me to select any other option. Almost ready to put in a ticket on this but that is a frustrating endeavor in and of itself

further up date, none of my TP drop down menus are working. Category , subcategory, and rarity drop downs on the buy panel wont allow me to select either.

issue resolved , it was my Razor keyboard for some reason, disconnected it and reconnected and problem went away.

Regarding the Razer Keyboard issue.
That’s quite odd that there was something with the Razer Keyboard that was preventing drop down selections by your mouse from being accepted. I can’t think of any configuration or software option that would cause that, considering how keyboard interaction with the trading post is limited.

Just curious, but do you also use a Razer mouse? Does the keyboard also use the Synapse 2.0 Configurator? I was thinking that, with using both a Razer keyboard and a Razer mouse, there may be a priority issue between Windows and the Synapse 2.0 Configurator or a possible configuration/driver/firmware issue. Hopefully you won’t encounter that issue again.

Yes on the mouse and yes on Synapse. My thought pattern was same as yours.

First I stopped Synapse, second thing I tried was swapping mice. Still had the issue. What clued me in was when I fired up Ventrillo and the INS key which I use for PTT was stuck in the keyed position electronically and I had to swap over to the HOME key in Vent setup. Swapped keyboards and the Vent and the TP issue both cleared. Swapped back out to the Blackwidow keyboard and no problems.

A reboot would have probably done the same thing, who knows

I have no problems with the TP until this morning. Cannot see my transactions (what I am selling), and when I click on “sell on trading post”, my inventory items appear but clicking on an item to sell just produces a blank panel with zero information – no item graphic, no buyer price, etc. I have re-logged, I have exited game. No change.

Yours is a temporary issue that just cropped up this morning that is currently being addressed.

Appreciate the response – :-) I just went back into the game after one of my daily blue screen crash dumps (oh, the joy of being a Toshiba Qosmio owner), and found the TP down for maintenance.
