Guild Wars 2

I’m a level 11 Sylvari ranger, I bought an adept’s training manual, double-clicked it, there was some kind of a wooshing sound, and the manual disappeared from the inventory.
BUT, in the Skills and Traits section, it only showed me one available point (the one from leveling to 11). I tried restarting the game, still no trait points from the manual. Am I doing something wrong, do I need to return to the trainer to get the points, or what’s going on? I’m on the Mac client, in case that’s relevant…

the training manuals only ‘unlock’ the next tier of traits for your use and are level-gated. the trait points themselves are earned as you level from 10-80, 70 trait points total. everything is working correctly.
