Hi,

The transmutation stones (fine and basic) aren’t working. I’ve tried to transmute several of my armour pieces and it said “Good” but after clicking “Item transmute” nothing happens; the window just disappears. The same thing happened to my boyfriend when he tried to transmute a piece of his armour.

I have also encountered this problem.

Experiencing this right now.

The patch yesterday changed this functionality. Are you trying to transmute armor you are wearing? If so remove it and try again.

Here is what the patch notes stated:

“Armor that is currently equipped can no longer be transmuted.”

Transmutation stones became useless crap. That’s all.

Ahh! I read the patch notes but not carefully enough I guess.

Defeats the purpose… how, exactly?

I haven’t done any transmutation since the patch, but from everything I’ve read it’s now simply un-equip the armor/weapon item, transmute, re-equip. Nothing difficult or complicated.

Granted if this process isn’t working properly that’s a bug. But it still doesn’t defeat the purpose of the stones.

I think they made this change to avoid gear clipping bugs

It just means you have to un-equip before transmutation.
There was a bug with transmuting cultural armor onto another race and causing… unintended side effects. (Naked Eles in Divinity’s Reach..what?)
Relax, the stones still work great, its just added a step to the process.
