Transmuted Exotic Armor will not Dye
You seem to have the outfit slot checked, although there is no outfit in the slot. It’s the box above all the others. Try unchecking that and then seeing if you can dye your stuff then?
The check box only means it can be visible. I’ve dyed other pieces of armor while that was checked just fine. I tried it anyway since I’ve tried everything else, but no dice.
Terribly sorry then! Hmm. I really wish I could help now, but I have never experienced such a thing. :c
Best of luck to you! I hope that someone else, or ANet even, can help you.
If you have extra charges try changing it to something else (a skin that was not the previous exotic skin) and back. Just a thought I am rather doubtful that will change anything but worth a shot.
I have this issue with the new Carapace Armor. Some pieces will hold dye, and others will not. I have no idea why.
Andraus, the skin I’m using is a culture skin, i.e. not an exotic skin.
I was just saying to try transmuting it to something else if it somehow relates to the exotic armor you transmuted it from which you talked about a bit in the first post. I doubt it relates to being transmuted from that particular exotic skin it came from but it’s worth a try to transmute it to something different, then back to the cultural just to see if that fixes anything. However if you do this, when you transmute it to something different don’t change it back to the original exotic skin. That’s what I was trying to get at. I have tons of charges so that’s what I would do however if you don’t have a lot I wouldn’t bother as more than likely it won’t fix it.
My guess is the exotic armor you obtained from the level up chest is bugged. It’s coded differntly than regular armor because you are unable to salvage it. They probably have something messed up as a result of altering the code which blocks salvaging it.
