The first dye slot on Trickster’s Mantle resets back to the tarnish dye whenever i waypoint to a different zone/region. The same also happens when I select to play the character from the main menu.

I’ve done some testing and this was what I did:
1. Applied a random dye that isn’t Abbys or Tarnish to the dyeslot.
2. Changed zone.
3. Returned to the main menu.
4. Returned back to the game.

I did multiple times, different dye each time. The dyeslot didn’t reset with any of the dyes I applied.
So I then dyed the slot with the Abbys dye, returned to the main menu and then back ingame and guess what, the dyeslot reseted back to Tarnish. The same thing happens if I change to a different zone.

It’s weird that this only happens to this specific dye and dyeslot and I can’t understand why or how.

Same thing happens to me. One slot keeps changing to tarnish dye. I tried equipping a different shoulders’ armor and then re-skin it but it didn’t work. Already sent a bug report. Let’s hope they take it into consideration cause it’s a kind of annoying bug. Especially when someone has paid 800 gems for it

Does this happen with the abyss dye on the same dyeslot I’m having problems with?

Yes it’s the same dye slot but I’m not sure it happens only with abyss. I remember trying lead dye and a couple of others and it still changed back

I hope this gets fixed as soon as possible since I paid 800 gems for it.

I bought this armor set today and encountered the same problem

(Can’t apply the Abyss dye on the mantle , it reset itself to tarnish dye everytime)

Anet , fix this please.

This bug is several months old and affects many skins. You cannot use the dye that is used if you use “dye remover” on those pieces. (e.g. you can’t use Dust Dye on Human Heavy T3)
