This bug has been happening consistently. It happened this morning and once again in the afternoon. The boss only spawns three times a day, so that’s 2/3 bugged raids. An average time of 49 minutes was spent preparing for each one, organizing 150 players and coordinating our efforts.
Those efforts have been in vain, repeatedly, as this scaling bug has made Wurm unplayable content for many of us. I was lead to believe these scaling bugs were fixed, but alas, they have not.
Countless hours wasted, efforts dashed, and upset raiders. On top of organizing this on megaservers, adding a new headache, this bug compounds an already archaic and difficult situation.
As a player, my time is valuable, and this has wasted my time.
Hi Anet, My name is Devalicious and I am a leader of TTS and we encounter a bug a the wurm head twice today. At our first attempt at 530am server time Cobalt Wurm in which I was leading drop from 25% -0 health in a less than second, before we could react. The other two wurms were not effected. Even before we could even touch the wurm and stack up for our burn phase., it automatically de-capped. During the second attempt at the 11am Crimson and Cobalt Wurms dropped from 80% health to 0, again Amber wurm was not effected. This occurred during the first phase of the Triple Trouble Wurm kill. It really makes it difficult to get a wurm kill and we have a video of the entire fight as proof.

I was at today Wurm spawn (11:00 server time) and Cobalt lost more than 30% in just 1 vulnerable phase. It seems that event is downscaling, although no great change in player count was noticed. Which, in turn, makes harder to synchronize all three heads decapitation.
I was at the event with Devalicious and can confirm that we saw the health of the other worms drop instantly to the decap state. Because of the amount of time and organization it takes on the part of well over 100 people to get to a position where the wurm can actually be killed, this bug is having a serious effect and should be prioritized accordingly. I imagine most people will stop even attempting this event until Anet posts a fix.
I was also present at both attempts (Guardian on the first, Warrior on the second, both at Crimson), and I’ve personally witnessed the downscaling happening on both times at >2 minutes on the kill timer. The problem with the bug is that it throws off the painstaking coordination that all 100+ players (insert herding cats analogy here) have to work on to get to the point of a possible kill, which results in failure.
I’ve sent a bug report through the in-game reporting system, and I do hope Anet’s GW2 tech support can look into this soon.

My apologies, I didn’t make a screenshot at the time it happened. I did send a bug report using the in-game support, but I’m not very hopeful it’ll go anywhere, considering the lack of CS Anet has with this game.

It’s ok. We try our best to get this across to them so that they can roll out a fix. I haven’t been running Wurm for the last few days since this bug occurred.

I know TTS ran 2 organized raids at the same time during the 7:30/8 setup/showing from yesterday (4th). I was in the wrong map and they couln’t get a 3rd one up as far as I know of. But I didn’t stay on TS to hear if they beat it or it bugged out. Maybe one of the leaders will hop back here to update. :S
