Turret's firing at destroyed stationary targets
This happens to me a lot. It’s quite annoying.
I just experienced this bug. In the Funhouse, doing Monkey Wrench quest. Rifle Turret targeted destroyed Soul Generators.
I’ve experienced this bug as well several times, its particularly annoying in places like dredge mines with lots of objects. Often times my turrets will attack objects and ignore enemies that are attacking me, making them just about useless.
Tis the bane of turret placement throughout the game. They will attack objective placements that haven’t even spawned from events yet.

Thanks for making us aware of this bug, and providing enough detail so we could observe the same behavior on our end.
A fix for this has been written; please keep an eye on the patch notes (or your turret’s behavior) to see when it goes live.
I am “trying” to play an enginner but I am noticing that turrets have a querk where they will attack targets already destroyed. For instance the heart where you have to destroy the ice containers, once the container is destroyed (and no longer visable) my rocket and rifle turrets will keep firing at the spot where it was despite it no longer showing on screen and other targets are around.
Another example is where the pirate cannons are just south of Vindar’s Laggoon, there is a supply dump that when destroyed the turrets will keep firing at.
There are plenty more examples like the banners you have to destroy in shiverpeaks, etc, all of which turrets will keep firing at once detroyed.
