Ok so i just logged in and my TWILIGHT LEGENDARY SWORD became a EXOTIC GREATWORD WITH THE TWILIGHT SKIN.

just this morning i had twilight now i see Berserker’s pearl broadsword of the night.

Seriously i have farmed months for my legendary and you turn it into some cheap exotic???? please fix this fast!!!!

Sorry but right now i feel very mad about this bug and i REALLY hope you can give my twilight back…..

Try submitting a support ticket from the website, that’s usually the best way to get items fixed…

My weapon’s value just decreased from over 2200g to a 3g weapon after installing a patch. Surerly anet cannot allow that and will give a official respond down below, pls.

That just looks like you had it transmuted before legendary could change stats and you never used the splitter which was sent out to split them apart. The only thing the patch has changed is that items now show the name and rarity of the base item instead of whichever has the higher rarity.

Just this morning it was a purple named twilight… now it turned into a orange named noob sword… i believe purple is higher rarity then orange in this game…

basicaly aslong my sword becomes a legendary again im happy….

This may apply to your situation if you have ever transmuted your Sword:

If you currently have items that have been transmuted, you will unlock the appearance for both the first item used for stats and the last item used for appearance in your final transmuted item. This means that if you have only transmuted a given item once (for example, if you’ve used a single Transmutation Stone to combine the appearance of Dawn with the stats of another greatsword) you’ll unlock the skins for both items in that transmutation.

Use a Transmutation Splitter on any transmuted items if you want to have access to the stats of both components. For example, if you transmuted a high-end piece of gear with a white item to get around soulbinding restrictions, you’ll probably want to use a Transmutation Splitter to retain the stats of the high-end gear, now that you’ll be able to give that appearance to any character on your account.

so basicaly i just lost my twilight?

is ther anyway i can split the item and get my twilight back?
becouse if i had split it just a few hours ago id probably got my twilight now..

It is always best to read the announcements when they release them. You may be able to get help from CS, though they did warn you beforehand.

Ive read them but i did not know i would lose twilight.. it didnt even cross my mind when i read it actually.. probably becouse i would have never guessed id lose an item becouse of a patch.

Wish anet would have split all items before launching the patch to avoid any inconvenience, becouse im sure many inactive players or players who havent read will soon figure their precious item is gone..

Edit: talked to a friend on skype who has the same issue/bug wit his bolt….

again… third time, i dont need this useless off topic comments. to be on topic again ive submitted a ticket a while ago and awaiting reply. hopefully il get my item restored!

Still no fix for my twilight..

you have the twilight skin. you can apply that to any item you want. you currently have one applied to an exotic greatsword, just like you did 2 days ago.
I would of preferred having the switchable legendary stats instead, but it looks like it has exotic stats transmuted over them. a transmutation splitter would of cleared that up, but I think those aren’t functional anymore. If you transmuted it before the legendary stats became switchable and ascended, they gave you a free transmutation splitter for that purpose.

no thats not the same, i understand your point. but having my legendary item back also allows me to swap them between my other characters. plus i have more then 1 item that needs spliting so just 1 transmutation splitter was not going to work…

Edit: i remembered i already used my free trans splitter for my Bolt legendary..

Hi Mayoken! yes i agree, patch or not they cannot take away a item.
becouse, basicaly you just lost your twilight item and only got a skin of it in return and since wardrobe skins are not account wide… you will also be unable to use it on your alt characters.

I am pretty sure CS will give back your Twilight.

Wait legendary skins are not account wide?? Legendary’s have become account wide but the skin’s have not?

my other character, does not have the Legendary Twilight skin unlocked.

i agree with him it’s not fair to let to someone by in a state that he has to suffer from a game bug that should be fixed in the first place. please support him.

It looks like you probably haven’t “had” your Twilight for a pretty long time now.

The reason it showed up as purple before and not exotic is because it used to look at the rarity of the “skin” item and the rarity of the “stats” item and display whichever one was higher. So since the Twilight “skin” is legendary and your “stats” item is just exotic, the name showed up in purple.

They changed their mind in this patch to have the color be the rarity of the “stats” item. This makes it a lot easier to figure out what the stats numbers actually are on your gear. If you’re wearing exotics, you’ll know you’ll have exotic stats and not ascended or rares.

I’m guessing if you actually looked at your stats before the patch, it was exotic numbers rather than ascended numbers, and you weren’t able to change your stats by double clicking.

This isn’t a bug and this is just how it always worked. When they added transmutation splitters months and months ago (September?), they told you to use splitters to get your original legendary back. They also warned you in the last several weeks when they announced the wardrobe, as others have pointed out. It’s very unfortunate you didn’t understand these warnings. Your best bet would be to contact customer support, but there’s no guarantee they’d be able to help you.

Your other characters should definitely have the Twilight skin unlocked. If not then that definitely would be a bug. I’d look harder to double check. You can look at the greatsword section in your bank as well. Even though you lost the legendary “stats” item, you should still have the skin unlocked.

Ok i will double check if i have the skin on my other character, also.. it doesn’t change the fact i just lost a legendary item.
