Ulfred is there asking for blocks of ice, but there is no actual event. When I talk to him with ice in my inventory nothing happens to them either.

EDIT: also, I noticed that when I started fighting these things in the place my.. footsteps?.. are obnoxiously loud? I only hear it when I walk, and when my pet walks as well, so that’s what I’m assuming. I first thought that it was my speakers, but no.

I think there’s another event where the drdge mines are that’s like this? There are structures to destroy and we get defense plans from killing dredge, but no event?

Still no trigger for this event. Ulfred pats around the cave and kills and gets killed. I’ve got a ton of ice in my inventory but he won’t accept it.
He’ll even spout his speil about helping get blocks of ice.

The issue still exists it seems. Was unable to trigger this event. Ulfred spoke and I completed the conversation but unable to collect magical blocks of ice. Not sure if I missed something.

Usually Ulfred stalls out by the river before he ever gets to the caves.

You can try guesting to another server (IP) to see if you can find one where it is not stalled, if you want to do the event.

Otherwise, it would be best to list the IP of the map instance Ulfred is stalled on, or just wait for either the map to update, or the game to patch.

STILL bugged. Trying to do this event for the Quip legendary collection. He’s in the cave with peaceful grawls. Talking to him gives you dialogue talking about how he needs magic ice to make the sculpture, but doesn’t actually activate any event, and killing the nearby ice elementals doesn’t yield the item needed.

I’ve visited this NPC several times today, waiting at most a full hour for anything to happen. Gave up, went and did something else, came back, still bugged. Been checking all day. Nothing.

Pretty sad ANet that your kitten’s bugged for a LEGENDARY collection. I paid $100 for bugged content. Great.

It’s not still bugged. It may have stalled, again, but I’ve done that quest countless times since the last post in this thread.

Again, try guesting to another IP address.

Well, the bug that makes him stall is still there, so technically, it is still bugged… Even though, like you mentioned, it gets stalled only after some time has passed since the map was created. I also did this event recently, but now that I need it for Meteorlogicus III: Storm, it won’t appear…
