Guild Wars 2

Since I started playing after about a year and a half hiatus, I have been unable to view any responses in any chat category. When I began playing again as a new character I created upon starting up, I was able to see chat, but after I switched back to my old character that existed since before the hiatus, all of my chats have been invisible. It seems that people can receive my messages, but I cannot see their response. Also, in /say, I can see the chat box above the person’s head, but the message does not show up in the chat panel.

You need to re-enable the various chat elements manually. It seems you disabled most or all of them on that chat tab or something happened which cleared all of their checks.

• Hit F9 to turn your chat opaque
• Click the dropdown arrow next to the name on your active chat tab
• Place a checkmark in the boxes for channels and elements you want visible in that tab
