Guild Wars 2

I double checked the wiki and the recipe says:

1 Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence
1 Master’s Salvage kit (Still has 25 uses, see screenshot as proof)
1 Mystic Coin
1 Pile of Crystalline dust.

Forge button is grayed out and i am unable to demote the shard to glob.

Unless the wiki is incorrect or outdated am i missing something here? I tried Demoting The Glob of coagulated mists to Vial and it did work but not this one. See Screenshot as proof.

Very strange indeed. I’ve successfully demoted the item by using my ranger. I think the issue here is that my engineer either doesn’t have crafting profession rank (0) and haven’t completed world completion as for my ranger it has both. Also it doesn’t say in the wiki that you need to have those requirements.

Strange. Did you try to change the order you put the items in? Not like it should matter but who knows. Also since it involves ecto is it possibly timegated like Ectoplasmic refinement where you can only do one a day?

That just sounds like the usual bug with the forge. Occasionally it will care about the order you try to put things it. It appears to be a race condition between the client and server response for recipes.
