Was finally able to get in but now the client is crashing repeatedly.

So that’s pretty fun.

Getting error code: 1083:5:7:1595:101 every time I try to log in. Have tried multiple characters in multiple locations.

Getting same issue here when trying to load into game world.

Every time I try and enter the world on one of my characters my game crashes.

I can log-in but can’t use wp, wvw, trading company – I receive log-in problem error every few minutes

I’m from EU, not playing at the moment on Viz.
Last night before your maintenance, I could log in but could hardly change instance (error 42 cannot create instance).
This morning after your maintenance i can’t log in at all error 183:5:7:1595:101.
Just to clarify, my wife on the computer next to me (same connexion) has no problem whatsoever.
I started a repair to see if this night’s cascading update did not dammage it.

But in all seriousness, would absolutely love feedback on this. So far nothing on the forums (on what works at least) and nothing on the facebook page. Kinda disappointed in paying so much money on the expansion pack for broken content.

We do not post maintenance updates or that type of messaging on Facebook because Facebook severely limits how many people we are able to reach on that platform. We have been posting updates both on the forums and Twitter, per our usual procedure.

Again we apologize for the down time. Our team has been working diligently on the issues.

if i could make a small suggestion for these kinda problems . and maybe make it easy on us all when we have these umm problems . and make it easy for thos who do not have or use twitter or facebook .or are limited by facebook all together. and that is to make a widget link it to the front of the forums page . so this way you can see it before you log in and after you log in . and in real time too with server status . with the servers saying its online or in maintenance or offline. and this way we avoid a lot of umm problems . back in 02 when i played first person shooters the squad or clan if you will . used this on all there forums so we knowed when there was a problem or if it was play time. as at that time we did not have face book or twitter if i remember right. maybe this is something that could be done here for us all and make it a bit more easy and a lot less pain full

Turn off auto-play, let the download complete, login and play. #resolved

I started a repair to see if this night’s cascading update did not dammage it.

Repair complete and he was able to login again

(We don’t know if it’s the repair or a coincidence, though).

So….I thought this fix was supposed to take care of this connection issue. Still receiving the Network Error when trying to load in a character after the character select screen.

Just for my due diligence, I troubleshot the internet connection on my end…looks like its all working, especially since I am writing this from the same machine.

Anxiously waiting for a fix…Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

It has been more than 9 hours now and I still have the issue. Also, not posting on facebook but doing so in tweeter is ridiculous, when you say so you sound like this:

“Hey, we do not inform stuff on tv and internet, because not everyone has a tv or a computer, instead we post stuff on a small column on our local newpaper”(which almost no one reads)

Facebook’s reach is far larger than twitter and forum(not only has very limited reach, but you have to search the specific solution).

Also, I can’t see anything on forum news and announcements, which will be the logical way to announce a big maintenance

Anyway, please understand in the future that a heads up it is great, and that facebook and your own homepage is the place where scheduled maintenance should be announced.(besides news and announcements on forums and twitter)

Edit: Was able to log in with a character I have not logged into for a few days now.

I can login normally now. Can’t say the same for some of my guildies. Most of them seem to be getting the “check your connection” message (one even when trying to login with their account from my pc).

Can’t login to any of my characters.

I get the below (verbatim):

Try moving your gw2cache file from your temp folder, and let me know if that works.

Happened after the patch last night …. can get to char screen but once I click on any char it goes to load but never does until gets network error ( code: 1083:5:7:1595:101 ) … I figured it would have been fixed after I got up but still have the same issue now

For everyone still having the same issue, i just solved it using the following steps:

Locate your Gw2.exe file.
Right-click on the file and select Create shortcut.
Rename this new shortcut to Guild Wars 2 Repair.
Right-click on Guild Wars 2 Repair and select Properties.
Locate the Target line and add –repair to the end. …
Click OK.

After you do so, revert the steps, so you don’t have to wait the game to repaid in the future.

We’ve completed the maintenance. There are a few smaller issues that the team will investigate tomorrow morning, however most players should be able to get in as of this moment. If this isn’t the case for you, please let us know.

I’m still getting it and cant load into my characters.

I cant connect with my character. It stucks on loading screen and then i got the error..!!

I couldn’t get into Lion’s Arch. When it tries to go to the map, it gives me this message. Strange thing is that this account that I logged into has no HoT content which has this error message while the account which has no problems has the HoT content.

Edit: after a few attempts I was able to log into it with my account without the HoT content.

guys i repaired my client and its working now

I am unable to connect. I can access the login screen which sends me to character select but when I try to login with Persistence, my main in Hoelbrak, it gives me a network error and closes the client which restarts the process.

[EDIT] Repaired my client. Seems to now connect about 50% of the time. Attempted to login multiple times to check the stability.

Still getting network errors while loading maps. =(
