To clarify : the 71k in your second screen is the amount of experience you’ve got towards the 1st tier of Pact Commander in the Central Tyria mastery part.

I’m having the same problem – Inability to continue with my story quests because even though I’ve maxed out my Basic Gliding, it wont let me send the point to access it.

Given that the forum name is the same as the in-game account name surely having people post character names is a bit self defeating?

Had you perhaps meant to ask people to name the character on their account that has this specific problem?

Same bug on my character, both the frequent crashes and unable to spend the mastery point while at full exp in the track

I managed to fix my crashing by doing a clean boot of my PC, now the Glider Mastery bug is getting fixed, I am very happy!

My gliding Basics says “Need 4,294,967,295 more mastery points to unlock this ability.”
I’m trying to train my Glider Basics. I had actually finished it, and the bar was (still is) full. The mastery point symbol next to it is white, and playing guild wars before, I know that I’m supposed to be able to click it and unlock it. My next mission needs gliding Basics completed to continue, and it also says i haven’t finished it yet.
I tried training something different from central Tyria, and that doesn’t seem to be training either.
This is definitely not just my computer, the issue shows up on all my PCs.
Looking up this issue on the internet, it seems all that comes up are page links that, at the bottom, say Missing: 4294967295. Not sure that’s related at all.
I’d like to know if this if anyone else has this issue, or if it’s even fixable.

2 days right now waiting with my 2 accounts ( girlfriend and me just reclently purchased HoT ) we cant do anything and i ask if it is possible to get some info about the time to go out a new build ( time between identify problem on how to fix it. and the time to go out with the fix. ). thnks for this awesome game

Not sure if the build that was just released is the hotfix, but I just tried and the issue has not been fixed.

It’s even more disappointing that they claimed to have a fix for it but nothing has been done I’ve been waiting 2 days to explore Maguuma.

I had both problems – crashes and mastery points – and found that the x64 client stopped the crash problem.

Looking forward to the mastery point fix – let’s thank the CM’s and Devs for the feedback and quick response!

Constant freeze/crashing in Verdant Brink, Heart of Maguuma, after each event I do, and I can not unlock my glider basic mastery even though I have all the xp needed, and a mastery point for it. Character name is Lilyrana. Please help, I can’t continue until this is fixed. Thx

Was also experiencing crashes.

Same Problem here. Gliding will not train and the game freezes at every waypoint discovery, and especially at event completions. Every time it freezes I have to restart my computer.

Updating my video drivers fixed the crashing during certain actions like discovering new areas and successfully completing tasks.

Masteries are still stuck at 4 billion more points for glider despite the last patch.

i got the same problem WTF

vidya driver update didn’t work for me, it seems to only happen (for me) when I discover a point of interest or complete an event, possibly waypoint too but I haven’t discovered one in a bit.

is there something in common hardware wise we all got? it’s not affecting everyone so WHY us?

Also having the issue with game freeze on event completion, and the XP bar being unable to decide how full it is. Within 3 or so seconds of completing an event (which seems to be the only half decent way to get xp), I get a total game freeze. Ambient sound seems to still work however.

Someone concluded that it seems to occur when you receive large amounts of XP, which by all observed indications is correct.

Moderately disappointed, as I bought a new set of wings and wanted to try them out!

Character name I have been using for HoT is Alacritas Denitche.

I’m running the mac beta client (which doesn’t say much as the mac client is just the actual windows client emulated – to the point I was able to copy out the game files and transfer them to a windows computer so I didn’t have to download again!), which thankfully means I’m not needing to system reboot, but I am required to nuke the emulation from orbit to close the game.

Hopefully this issue is resolved soon, as I really would like to be able to continue well, any of HoT.
