I have been having a strange issue recently in the Point of No Return – Mystery Cave story instance where my guardian is unable to damage the Shadow of the Dragon during the third phase when it should be vulnerable. I have tried both melee (hammer/greatsword) and ranged (staff) and although I see the dragon’s health bar indicating that I have targeted the hitbox, I don’t deal any damage with any of my skills including autoattacks and AoE symbols/utilities during at least three successive attempts at retrying that phase of the fight. I have cleared the fight in the past with a rifle engineer and a dagger necromancer with wells without any issues but for some reason, the guardian is not working.. I have a friend who also has encountered the same issue recently with his guardian alt running greatsword/hammer. Can anybody else confirm?
The boss hitbox has been bugged for awhile and its now directly on its head so as a guardian, I believe your only choice is to use a scepter to get the necessary range to hit the boss.
Get a scepter for your guard until they fix it.
I remember killing him right after bug appeared. Trying to hit him with 1h sword 3rd chain autoattack. Lol.
