I have the items to make the basic/simple (bronze) spears, but the game will not let me discover them. Wiki shows that the weapon-smith level is 5 for the simple and 10 for the Malign, Mighty and Vital bronze spears. Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried to see if you already have the recipe?

Yes, they do not show up on my list.

Ignore the spear head showing up red and see if it let’s you discover one of the recipes. If not, then the NPE broke it.

EDIT: I did a bit more research. Because of the NPE, underwater combat doesn’t unlock until level 8. As a result, some of the low level spears were likely removed from the game. The same occurs for the other underwater weapons as well.

I just found this same problem.. My huntsmanship is 425 and now can’t get more exp to level up that to 500 lvl. Not have discovered any exotic recipes yet and it just keep tell to add another item… while weapon parts and insignia should be enough for it.

EDIT: Just noticed if add 5 more ecto to that recipe discover then can make item but why heck I have to use 10 ecto now while earlier that always been that 5 ecto.

That should only apply to weapons and armor using uncraftable inscriptions and insignias such as Shaman’s, Magi’s, Rabid, etc.
