Unable to edit guild emblem
If that’s the only time you crash, it sounds like an issue loading “game assets” to the client. Those are stored in the gw2.dat file. Here are a few things you can try that either bypass the hiccup or fix the root cause (if in fact that’s the issue).
- Switch the client from 32-bit to 64 (or vice versa).
- -repair the DAT file (wiki instructions)
- Download a new copy of the client (delete the old one, download the “downloader” from this website, and run it — if you DL into a new folder, to save time, be sure to quit the process if it stars creating a new DAT file)
- Download a fresh copy of the DAT (recommended: rename the existing version, then update the game as you usually would).
I’ve listed the ideas in order of quicker to slower, although the last one (if my guess is correct) has the greatest chance to resolve it.
Alternatively, create a support ticket and see if Customer Service has any suggestions — they often do.

Thanks so much! I just went ahead and redownloaded the .dat file and that did the trick!
