Every time I attempt to login using my main character, I get a network error.

I was in a story instance when the patch hit – was talking to General Soulkeeper right after leaving the dragon lab. Message said I had 3 hours. Was disconnected a few minutes later. Now I can’t load back in. Load screen for Rata Sum comes up, I’m trying to connect to IP 64.25.38.235. Load screen times out and I get a network error, code 1083:5:7:1595:101.

2 of my friends are on TS with me are both logged in and playing ok, but I still get that same 1083 error message, it seems anyone who was in game when that crash happened cannot get on, anyone who did not patch before that crash, can get in and play as normal.

same issue, only throw in new build then login. I can not get past the toon selection screen. so none of my toons can log on to any screen they are on, not just the new map. HELP!!!!!!

I’m having the same issue here. I get through the login screen, and through the character selections screen, but it gives me a connectivity error (1083:5:7:1595:101) and restarts the game.

Same issue for me. But it’s kind of expected in a way. You guys killed it with this patch. So happy with what I’ve played so far.

Still unable to connect even after the latest patch. I was in after the initial update, but ever since I can’t get back in.

Yeah, same here. I’m sure it will be fixed shortly though, so just be patient a little longer.

same problem…i cant log in, on any of my characters even the ones not doing living story. i mean i can log in but i press play it crashed saying something about the network. a while ago even this forum wasn’t working. i thought gw2 was being attacked by hackers or something.

good job download the patch and log in then switch toons and cant get back on.

I am also getting this.

I was doing story mission in Dragon’s Stand, and nearly had Faolain killed when i got booted out of game with same network error (Code=1083:5:7:1595:101) …. that was more than an hour ago. I keep trying to log in, but can’t get past the character selection screen no matter what. I even tried a router restart … didn’t do any good. Sure hope a fix will be in place soon …..

More detail – all my toons are in LA. I still can’t get in after the 2 fix it patches. I was able to log in after the initial big update. Code 1083 for the toon that was logged in before the first and second fix patches and code 7 for a toon that wasn’t. I’ve restarted my computer and reset my modem and router as well.

SMALL NOTE which maybe could be helpful.

Had the same issue with login but few minutes ago tried to use 64bit Gw2-64.exe instead of 32bit Gw2.exe (game is launched with admin rights ) and after few seconds of Verdant Brink map loading it switched to the correct location Hoelbrak where characters were left.

Did work for two different accounts but from the same network location.

And the exact same issue for me, since i dc´d in the new storyline and can´t log into the game anymore.

same for me in pvp arena or any area of the game. even if i choose old char i manage to log in the game but dc after couple of min

Still having this problem. 2 hours later. Crazy of me to expect to be able to play a game on patch day.

I’m glad I won the bet with my guildies… though only half a bit. The bet only involved not being able to play the LS3, not the whole game. Sigh.

I saw what happened, my ele had her cauldron out in LA. Gaile took a drink.. the servers, the servers!!! They couldn’t handle her transforming

Got the same issues, watched two films hoping it would be sorted by the time they finished but still can only get into the character screen. Try to load any character and I just get a delay and no network message.

Don’t suppose there’s an eta for a fix?

I just got home from work and I can confirm that I also am a victim of this weird bug.

Okay, so I got DC’d, but then I logged back in just fine. Once I did, I saw that I had one unread mail in my inbox. It’s not the LWS3 mission starter, since that is marked on the top right hand corner of my screen. It might be the Black Lion mail that devs have said was sent in error. Thing is, I don’t want to go into my mail to see what it is, in case it was the BL mail that caused me to get DC’d. Maybe someone can look into that on the tech side of things?

Couldn’t log in with any characters already created, so created a new one just to see and of course it didn’t matter. Getting the same network error code. There was also a couple times I couldn’t even start the game with this same error popping up.

I’ve been unable to log in since patch as well. Took a break from the game since the servers were down and keep getting connection errors.

Everything worked fine before.

Weirdly enough, when I try to log on to my character which was last in the new zone, I get a Rata Sum loading screen.

EDIT: Seems that I was able to keep swapping characters until I found one in Lion’s Arch. Then all worked just fine.

I hope they didn’t give up on this. It seems there are many of us still struggling to play.

Cool. The one time I decide to do PvE, it makes me unable to play the kittening game at all.

I searched “gw2” in my My Computer search bar and deleted the cache, unused .dat and .tmp files as well as any other duplicates that appeared to be unused, emptied my recycle bin, restarted the computer, attempted to log on to different characters -

And doing all of that allowed me to log in again.

My last character had been kicked while in the story and I was getting the same message as other players. After taking these steps, I was able to log in to all of my characters again immediately after taking said steps. So I’m hoping/thinking that something in the cache or other files was the cause of the problem.

Please be responsible about what files you choose to delete!

I also have the same problem. I cannot log in with the 2 characters I experienced crashes 9 hours ago.

login after initial patch worked, login after restarting the game when new version came out killed it for me. not able to log in since the last 11 hours. i rly hope this gets fixed today.

I got dc’d last night as the patch went live. I couldn’t get back in then and 12 hours later I still can’t get on!

Turn off antivirus and run as admin it fix problem for me and then u can run normal next time whit your antivirus on

Good Morning. Try switching worlds from your home server to some highly populated server as guest. That fixed my issue for now.

yep they changed the name of the update file, security does not recognize it and block the update and ask what action to take with this unknow file. so the patch does not patch, if you do not tell the security to install it. and even doing that there is still a network error that came with the second patch. in my case it took 3 try to get back in the game.

Getting same problem. Started yesterday evening after update. Had a couple of disconects got back in then suddenly dc’d again but now can’t get any further than selecting char and hitting play. loading screen starts then after couple mins get network error box

Exactly the same problem as Zamyra above has. For now I’m running 32bit client which seems to work.

Yesterday I started patching, we all can see a small mark which says we can play the game after some download progress so I clicked on play it logged into gw2 fine. The patch was running in the background I guess.

I jumped into Lions arch then I got a message “do you want to download this instance and you will get notify when it is ready” I said yes then it downloaded the I got a message it was ready so I jumped in LA. Then from there I switched to “IRON MARCHES” to help my guild mate to fight the “Fire Shaman” while on the second phase of the boss I got disconnected from GW2.

From yesterday till now I see the same error message “No internet connection network error” I am not happy at the moment. I am able to get into character select screen, All my character are in PVP zone and 1 character in Lions Arch. I tried to login with all character I get the same error. WHEN I CAN EXPECT A FIX. I created a support ticket too. I LOVE THE PATCH BUT UNABLE TO EXPERIENCE THE PATCH IS PAIN IN THE NECK.

Both my girlfriend and I are still experiencing this problem, we disconnected while trying the first story instance last night (CET). I played a bit on another character shortly after, but disconnected as well. Today neither of us can log in on any of our characters.

I can not login this morning either, I was disconnected yesterday just after I logged in then had to go to work.

So? Which team is working on that issue “QUICKLY” may I ask? And how come these mistakes always, but always happen after a patch? Come on. You are a company here.
