Unable to move / Snared without debuff
Next time that happens, try to do an emote. This happens with teleport/shadowstep skills, and sometimes when you are cc’d just right. I’ve noticed it far less than I used to though. Sometimes another teleport/shadowstep can fix it, or another knockdown/launch as you noticed. But seriously try an emote like /dance.

it happened to me at least twice. couldn’t move at all.
I think skills that make you move at all work, like disabling shot or various leap skills. It is VERY annoying though, as by the time you’re trying to figure out what’s happening you’re usually dead
Last time a dev replied on this matter was about 6-7months ago saying theyre trying to pin it down and solve..6-7months and nothing has been done.

Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.
It’s not something that they can really recreate to test, and that is a must to reliably find and fix bugs. Otherwise they could introduce new bugs and not even solve the one they were after. That is why this and some other rare, random bugs still exist.
still, it’s quite a gamebreaking bug that’s here from launch and still hasn’t been addressed. I mean try play mobility thief against a D/D elementalist or something and get indefinitely bug snared after you shadowstep back.
I would like to hear back from devs after 7months because it’s something that happens actually quite often
I have been playing thief often, although d/d not s/d in wvw, and I haven’t gotten stuck after shadowstep, I have shadowstep fail for me instead >.>
I don’t see being stuck often at all, but I agree it is very annoying when it occurs. (I forgot to send this last night, and did coe… champ wolf hit me and I became unable to move. I had to shadowstep away, and /dance lol.) If anyone can figure out a way to recreate it often it needs to be sent to them.
Although, I think it could be multiple bugs that all have the same result. And one of them may be easier to recreate, thinking about it. If you get knockdown/knockback at the same moment you hit return on shadowstep, at just the right time, game could think the stunbreaker worked, while you are still unable to move at all (I say this because there are some other bugs that work similar). Also, I know that knockbacks/launch are notorious for bugging things out… like guardian Banish >.>
