Guild Wars 2

Clearly stated at the topic title, it seems that I cannot see any kites on the map. I’m not sure if there are any prerequisites whatsoever, the symbols just doesn’t appear on the map (world map AND the smaller map on the lower right of the screen). Hopefully I’m not the only one experience thing problem. Please reply.

Just to make sure … so you can walk up to an unopened basket and still not see the icon on the map(s)? If you are on a busy enough map it is possible people are just opening them faster than you are checking.

I really doubt the map is busy, I’ve ran through several different maps, yet I failed to find any basket icons. I had never seen an unopened basket or the icons.

They look like small black splotches with a white square in it.

Yeah, I have the exact same problem and posted about it earlier. It’s not just you.

I just discovered that it is possible to turn them off. If you turn off the Bank/Guild Bank/Trading Post icons using the eye menu on the bottom of the map screen it will also turn these off.

I know what they look like, the problem is that I cannot see any of them on my map.

Basically, the way I see this map similar as a regular map without ongoing events like dragon bashing, skypirates, etc.

Open up your world map (M) then press the little eye icon in the bottom left corner. Tick all the boxes and they should show up.

I see them now but they are TINY and they are HARD to see no matter what your settings…

Problem is I can ONLY see them in a SINGLE area – the one I am IN.

I’ve gone to several other zones – nothing, not a single kite basket.

I have a bad feeling about this – and it doesn’t make ANET heroes in my book.
The color and the design of the icon is horrid.
