Guild Wars 2

Since the Southsun patch every now and then I am unable to whisper people. If I click their portrait and click whisper nothing happens. Anywhere from five to twenty minutes after I try to send them something, my game decides to open up a whisper with them. If I try to send them a whisper during the time that I can not whisper people nothing will happen, then after the five to twenty minute period, my game will send all the messages that I tried to send to them. During this time if someone messages me I am able to message them back. I have looked this problem up on Google and it seems there is no ANet response to any of these problems. I would like to know if there is a fix for this. Restarting my client is not a fix, it is a workaround and I am personally tired of restarting my client three to four times per session.

I have had this bug permanently for a long time, well before the South Sun patch. Not an intermittent bug, I just cannot send or receive /whisper. Restarts, nothing, alters it for me. Was not happening when I first got the game but eventually, it became a permanent feature :/

Are you a European player on an NA server or a US player on an EU server?

Because if so, that might be related to your bug.

I’ve also had this bug once but before the southsun living story patch, a client restart fixed it for me though.
