When the dwaynas tears are inserted and the fan is ready to activate, but the party wipes before activating the fan, upon restarting the battle the fan will be full at the time and interactable but upon activation the gas in the chamber will not disappear and the fan will not be interactable again until it uses up the previous charges leaving the party trapped in the gas room and without anyway to get rid of the gas until the fan is ready again.

This doesn’t require a wipe. If your party gathers crystals up front and inserts them before starting the fight, the same thing happens.
