Is this object unidentifiable from the perspective of my character or from a game programming perspective? Just thought I’d mention it.

It is an unidentifiable item from your character’s perspective and not unidentifiable due to having not yet been identified with an “Identification Kit” like was available in Guild Wars 1, sadly.

Its only purpose for existence is to be sold as junk to a vendor for some copper.
