I’m missing a stack of 150+ Unidentified Dyes from my Bank/Inventory (saving for Bifrost).

I haven’t played regularly in many months – the Origins of Madness being the last major story-line I played.

I logged back in about 3-4 weeks ago and saw the Dye refunds. That’s when I noticed my stack of Unidentified Dye in my bank was missing. However, I just assumed one of my other characters had it in their inventory and didn’t seriously worry until I started checking characters.

I checked all characters – none.
I asked a guildmate who was also wanting Bifrost, thinking I may have sent them to him – he has 83, about 1/2 of what I had.

Is there a reason that 150+ Unidentifiable Dyes should be missing from my Bank/Inventory?

Is this a bug or an aspect of a recent patch?

As you even said, the dyes system changed with April Feature Pack but I see you got refunded. Maybe you better try a personalized assistance through Customer Support, I haven’t heard anyone having this issue recently.

As shadow suggests, you need to contact Customer Support for an individualized response.

There’s no reason for dyes to go missing from your account: there’s no mechanic that would have removed items and refund dyes would have added to your stash, not subtracted. While you are waiting for Support to respond, I recommend using the search feature on each character’s inventory and your bank. If you have a personal guild bank, also check there.

I already used the search feature on all character’s inventories and my bank. I even scoured the collectibles tab in case they added them to collectibles.
