Guild Wars 2

Every so often, my game sound will fail and be replaced by a tone with an oscillating volume coming from the left channel.

I’ve never experienced this one before, but it’s isolated to GW2 only as my other programs all have functioning sound during this bug and restarting the client has fixed it three out of the four occurrences (all in the last week). The first occurrence, I had to restart my computer to fix it. I’m sure it’s not my computer as I’ve never heard (get it?) this kind of bug before and as afore mentioned, sound works fine with everything else while this tone is sounding.

This strange thing happen to me too.

It happen like 3 times and always when I’am in a middle of a keep/tower gate fight in WvWvW. Maybe because of the HUGE amount of effects and sounds.
Its really annoying the sound that makes, always from the left side and the only way to stop it is to restart the game.

Hope you guys see this.

I can confirm, just happened to me just now. Seems to happen when there’s a huge amount of things happening all at once.

Well, I suppose that it’s good to hear that it’s not isolated to my computer. I’ll try reducing the audio quality and increasing the mixing buffer size; that may help.
