I have completed the story step “The Battle of Claw Island” but the Trait Dogged March still locked.

Did you complete it as Instance owner? Or with another party? As of this time, you must be the Instance owner to get credit.

Yes. I was not in any group.

Then, either it bugged out on your client, or does for everyone. I haven’t seen any other posts about it, but maybe few people have tried to unlock that particular Trait, so far.

When did you complete that story step? It looks like you’ve progressed quite a ways past it, if you completed it BEFORE trait unlocks, it won’t retroactively unlock if you didn’t already have that trait.

That doesn’t make sense though… If the character was created before unlocks then that trait shouldn’t be locked at all when he reaches the appropriate level (which from the screenshot he is now 80). So in order for that to be locked he would have to be created after the 15th patch, or he would have to be a much lower level if he was created before the patch.

Either way it is a bug: If he created before the patch, it should be unlocked by now as it is not one of the new grandmasters. If he created after the patch, doing the battle of claw island should have unlocked it.

Er, then how is he supposed to unlock it if he’s already done that personal story? Your explanation doesn’t even make sense for a character created before the feature patch. It should already be unlocked.

Does the trait require the first, or the second battle? Maybe it’s just labeled incorrectly?

Edit: doh, just checked, that’s really the first one. Weird, that must be definitely a bug.

(And i will not even ask why a level 36 trait requires a level 50 personal story).

That’s a LVL 60+ trait. Master tier opens at LVL 60 now.

Is it possible you did the mission BEFORE LVL 60 (and the Master trait level was still locked)?

I would think that shouldn’t matter, but maybe that is what Mr. Vaughn was meaning (not that he created the character before the patch). Maybe you have to have the tier unlocked before you can unlock traits for that tier?

Uh, try again. That’s an adept trait. Which opens at level 30.
