Guild Wars 2

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but my back piece and my legs both have unused upgrade slots, but I cannot put a ruby orb on them. I can use the the ruby orb on everything else, except those two pieces of armor(of course they are they ones that need it). Am I just doing it wrong, or am I missing something? Thanks!

are the items you’re trying to use upgrades on level 80 pieces?

What nottsgman said. If the armor/backslot aren’t level 80, you won’t be able to put a level 80 upgrade (such as a ruby orb) in them. You’d have to use the tier below orbs. Also, back pieces take jewels (either crafted yourself or bought on the TP) to be upgraded, not just the gemstone.

That was exactly it, I just realized I never finished my set.
