Guild Wars 2

From the October 1 patch notes:
“Updated map completion rewards for Plains of Ashford and all World-versus-World maps to match the map level/content.”

Logically, reading this, I quickly log in to the game, fully expecting a friendly mail (or actually, a series of them) from ANet, apologizing for the inconvenience, sending me replacement rewards for all the great level 15 (or whatever) gear I previously got when completing these level 80 WvW maps some time ago, and throwing them away in disgust.

To my big surprise, after logging in post-patch, I didn’t find any such email in my inbox. I didn’t find anything. No replacement, no nothing. Not even a map completion reset (which would be pretty embarrassing still, but at least slightly above nothing).

Well, I think this is a bug of some sort, and should be looked into.

i was wondering the same thing, perhaps they won’t replace them because they “can’t just spawn items”?

Well that would be a good (if a bit overused by now, *cough*) excuse for customer support, but doesn’t hold much for people pushing updates (a.k.a. developers), who could easily roll an item distribution/replacement patch alongside the map rewards fix, as pretty much every single respectable company does after acknowledging that they originally messed up.

So that really couldn’t be a case here, could it.
