I have discovered a way for people to wield their profession’s weapon without even using its appropriate traitline.

How?

Make sure profession trailine is set in PvP build and on PvE is not.

Then go to PvP, equip your profession weapon. Exit PvP. WHOLA! You can now weapon swap to your profession weapon without having that traitline.

I know that you can equip weapons the opposite way, having it in PvE then enter PvP and still have the weapon equipped. When you do this however , you just have no skills at all while holding the weapon making it still a useless feature that luckily can’t be exploited. I didn’t try it with just the spec in PvP though. Does the weapon skills remain locked out too from PvP → PvE? Otherwise this is something they should definetely fix fast.

That is not a bug. It was covered by one of the patches notes. The change was from unequipping the weapon to disabling all the skills.
