Guild Wars 2

I have been seeing lots of people appear on a gathering node gather it then suddenly vanish. I have now been taking screen shots of people who seem to come out of no where gather then vanish. I don’t know if there is a thread already designated to uploading screen shots about this if there isn’t, then here is mine below is the screen shot I got of the person just before they vanished. the persons name is Priomind in the guild [VF] I don’t know if this is a bug or this person is exploiting. Thanks for taking the time to read and look into these issues.

I stayed and watched this gathering point for awhile and found another person named Meijojo who also gathered this vanished out of thin air. I have more screens of this happening however looks like I can only upload 1 image.

I believe the preferred approach is Right click portrait → Repot → Botting. That was it is automatically recorded/track in their system. The forum isn’t ideal since that would require someone to look through every single post and image then look up the account. A screenshot doesn’t help much in these cases anyway, it’s not like you can have a screenshot of someone vanishing.

I agree with you however they are gone before I can click the portrait and do all that. and I know a screenshot isn’t proof of someone vanishing however it should be enough to get them to look into it with more depth, its not like I am trying to falsely accuse people of botting, like I said I don’t know if its a bug or what.

I guess you can call it a bug. There is apparently some sort of exploit that just let people teleport around the map.

I’ve had the same problem with people disappearing too fast to use the in game report. A simple solution is to add a /report <player name> which brings up the usual dialog for reporting.

I will do that then didn’t know you could do that thanks.

Thanks for the tip Khisanth. I do not believe its a bug but rather a hack/exploit. In another popular MMO (Blade and Soul) its called a Teleport Hack and its used by bots.

Now for me it was more difficult to report them let alone click on them because they appear and disappear so quickly. But rest assured they are hacking/exploiting and are probably bots.

One thing you can do is add them as a friend when you see them pop up. Then their name will be saved in your friends list.
