As i get pretty bad tearing in game I prefer to use vertical sync, however i get some issues with the game by turning vertical sync on.

*Textures of all water and some other things are missing or not loading
*When I get to a loading screen it does not go away when done loading

All these issues go away with turning vertical sync off. I can work around the stuck on loading screen by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del and then go back to the game (I also have to to this to turn vertical sync off).

Other info:
*Windows 10 64bit
*Nvidia GTX 960M
*Issue occurs with both 64bit and 32bit client

Hmm, I’ve been having the issue of the game hanging at loading screens and I also use v-sync. Not had any problems with textures though.

I’ve been trying to figure out what is causing my hanging issues so will try v-sync off for a while to see if that helps.

I found another post with the same issue.
See https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/stuck-on-loading-screen-when-switching-maps

It looks like you can get past the screen tearing and all the v-sync related issues by setting game to fullscreen windowed mode. However it gives a poorer performance than normal fullscreen.

Been having same issue. Seems like it only started since around thanksgiving this year. Turning vsync off does fix it but i hate having the screen tear when I scroll or pan using the mouse. Something must have changes because i have been using vsync since i installed the game back in march and have had no issues zoning in or graphics wise. I will try the windowed mode and report back.
