Hello. Price for cultural armor/weapons is very high – 63000 karma for tier 3 weapons and 119 gold for tier 3 armor set. It is possible to buy full exotic level 80 set for 10-12 gold on auction. Moreover exotic rarity items have better stats than rare items (all cultural items are rare). This makes cultural sets absolutely useless.

Cultural armor is just for the looks, imo. Transmutation stones and such

I do concure. It’s only a skin thing. I did bought a tier 3 greatsword and the first thing I did is to apply its skin on another greatsword which had better stats. 120 golds for a T3 armor is a bit too much since only the “skin” will remain.

This is a similar ‘problem’ that existed in GW1. You could buy armor that cost ten times as much as normal armor, with the same stats. You get them for the looks and achieves. They’re not useless.

That said I guess cultural armor should be exotic if anything.

They don’t look for 119 gold =)
