The medium armor Vigil Leggings piece while worn by human females has been changed in the recent Dec 3 patch to be much worse, and is now bugged in appearance.

The change happened because pre-patch, when worn, weapons like daggers used to to stick from within the character’s hips, causing minor clipping issues. This was fixed.

The problem is that along with this fix, the human female model wearing it is now effectively cut in half, with a thin line across the midriff where the character is transparent, and the background behind the model is visible. This is a much worse problem than the slight clipping issue with daggers was.

Medium armor appearances are terrible across the board, with almost all leggings being ugly pants, no skirts at all, and very few decent appearance choices to choose from. Vigil leggings used to be one of this few decent choices – not anymore though. This makes the recent change all the more disheartening – not only is my favorite leggings piece bugged, there is no real wearable alternative. This adds insult to injury of buying the Assassin’s Coat cultural piece for a hefty 30g only to discover it badly clips at the character’s knee.

Please revert this recent change and return Vigil Leggings to how they used to be. Having a character run around while cut in half looks simply dreadful. The tiny daggers clipping bug was a non-issue.

As I have always had those weapons clipping issues on all my girls, I never noticed a “fix”. I have noticed, however, the little line in the middle at times.

I really want this fix as well. I would rather have a pistol in my hip than my character model being cut in two.

Agreed, the vigil legs definitely cause the middle portion of the character model to be cut in half, got a few screens to prove it as well. Hope it gets resolved soon.

They’re rather messed up on my female Norn as well.

The legs clip through every pair of boots I’ve tried (except the vigil boots, which I do not want to wear).
The ‘butt’ portion doesn’t line up correctly. It sticks out a little further than my character’s back, and makes it look like she is wearing a diaper.

This is happening for any armor on human females that goes below the belly button, Where most other chest armor pieces usually end there is a seam on the actual character model that you can see through on lower shader details and on higher shader details causes there to be a line that resembles a scar or something where the seam is. I finally got the look I wanted for my necromancer today and it included the Whispers light armor leggings and I got this bug. Now I’m just logging into the game to see this and then closing it out. I really don’t want to even play anymore and seeing as how this latest update didn’t address the issue and most threads on it are months old I doubt they care.
