Hi, I’ve been playing with a friend and we decided to both do different story lines so that we can see the different paths, and he chose the Durmand Priory and I chose the Vigil.

After the initial Norn Vigil mission on the bridge I was directed to talk to Gixx and ended up being in the Durmand Priory some how instead of the Vigil. This was weird, and obviously a bug, but I just accepted that I was in the durmand priory now. However, when I chose to investigate the grawl, I was again in the Vigil talking with Warmaster something, instead of Seiran. However, at the end of that quest line it was Sieran who was talking with me agian.

I seem to be going between the Durmand Priory and the Vigil. I wanted to see if there was a fix for this, or at least if anyone else has had this happen to them.

I think it had to do with the fact that we both chose different orders, but when Eir and her group met together in Lion’s Arch to complain about each other, we both were allowed to complete the quest and I agreed to complete the quest (it was his instance) with him.

If anyone has any suggestions I’d be appreciative, thanks.

When you accept another player’s storyline, you are automatically placed on that story track so you can continue to share instances. Once you get to the end of an arc, if you don’t continue to accept the instance owner’s quest, you will be placed back on your original storyline.

It sounds like sometimes he is the instance owner and you accept his progress, and sometimes you are the instance owner, and accept your own storyline.

There is no way to ‘fix’ this, other than only accepting your own storyline quest completions.

I can’t progress in his instances though, I have to do it myself. It’s not that big of a deal, thanks for the response anyway. Also we just retook Claw Island and I had the option of selecting either Vigil or Priory for where I was a part of the orders. I included a picture.
