Guild Wars 2

So I just completed the Red Alert Story Quest for the Durmond Priory and ended up back in Lion’s Arch Overflow. I’m playing an asura thief, level 48, as of this writing. When I completed it I was offered a choice of three rings to choose from. I chose the Vigorous Ring (green), Required Level: 46. What it showed was a ring that gave 25 Power and +18 Vitality. It also came equipped with an Ornate Emerald Jewel (blue) for +14 Precision, +9 Toughness, and +9 Power. This is also shown when I CtrlLeft Click it into the chat. But when I look at it in my inventory and on my hero, it just shows the +25 Power and +18 Vitality and does not show the Ornate Emerald Shard or its additional additions to Precision, Toughness, and Power. In addition to that, when I equip the item the game doesn’t treat the Ornate Emerald Shard as being there either so I don’t get the additional improvements to those areas.

I did just notice that regular shards, that is, not ornate, have a required level of at least 50, so, is this not a bug and in fact a weird limitation of the game that since I’m probably not high enough level to use the shard it’s not being shown as being a part of the item and I don’t get the added stats from it? Or is it a legitimate bug and it should still be there anyway? Either way, let me know, thank you.

I’m at level 54 now and the extra effects of the ring haven’t yet been activated. Thought I should let you know and I hope this issue gets resolved soon.

I have the same problem… I chose the “Vigorous ring of the knight” and ended up with a regular “Vigorous ring”. And it looked so awesome, too!

Just got bit by this bug too, so its still there. Quest was Suspicious Activity, part of the order of whispers chain, but probably the same equivalent as your quest (level 48 i think it was.)
