Guild Wars 2

I just went to a vista in dredgehaunt cliffs, the one in dostoev sky peak. From what I got, you need to open the gate by interacting with some chains, the point is they do nothing. I go there and the gear appears as my cursor, but even if I press F nothing happens. I tried moving around, jumping on some barrels but nothing. I wasn’t in combat. I haven’t tried relogging but I doubt it would have solved the problem.
In the end since I was using warrior I equipped sword and used skill 2 to get to the other part and proceed but not all professions can do something like that. That’s it

The chains open a gate on the other side of the scaffolding. You must raise this gate to get to the end of the route to the Vista.

“At the end of the tunnel, you’ll find a ramp onto the scaffolding. At the second turn, you should encounter a door.”
The door was closed so:
“If the door is closed, continue to ascend the scaffolding, and upon reaching the walkway at the top, follow it onto the large platform.”
“Pull the chains guarded by the Veteran Dredge Oscillator, and then return to the now-opened door encountered earlier. "
Here I tried pulling the chains but the door didn’t open (also there was no “press F”)
So I think it was bugged. Maybe I was just unlucky and usually it isn’t.

Easiest way? Don’t bother with opening the gate. Go up that ramp after the tunnel. When you get to the closed door/gate, fight your way up one more level. Once you’re directly above that gate (and after you killed the mobs and turret gun), go back down the ramp a bit until you’re just past the railing blocking the edge of the platform. Use a speedboost, and jump from that ramp down onto the area just past the door. Then you can just follow the path to the vista, fighting mobs as you go.
